The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Grand Apartments on Lindley
I have lived here since 2009 and overall, the complex is mostly well-maintained, safe, and quiet. Here's what you need to know: 1. There will always be a 3% rent increase when it's time to renew your lease 2. You have to pay for TRASH/WATER when rent is due 3. You must have renter's insurance. 4. Rent portal has been restricted so the tenant can only pay rent on the 1st-3rd and not before. 5. Washers tend to break down frequently and takes days to have them repaired. 6. Gym equipment needs updating and funds from the complex should be allocated towards health/fitness. 7. BED BUGS!! There have been several incidents of bed bugs. Leasing office will try to hold tenant accountable and make you pay $2000-$3000. Contact an attorney if this happens 8. Some neighbors are inconsiderate of those living around them. Document these incidents and keep documenting. 9. Leasing office will slap a Three Day Notice on your door claiming the tenant is in violation of lease agreement instead of having an exploratory conversation. In my case, they believed i changed the locks recently. I did change the locks SEVERAL YEARS AGO and gave the previous leasing office staff a copy of the key. Office staff and property ownership has changed for the third time so who has the copy of the key?? 10. Leasing office staff never stay for long. 11. NO more security to patrol the premises.
I lived at this place before. The management is rude I advise you to look elsewhere to find a place to live.
The one bedroom apartment rates here are painfully high in comparison to the surrounding area. I chose this community because it seemed clean and safe since it is gated and secure. Unfortunately experience has shown me that they love to put notices on your door with less than 24 hours notice about needing to enter the home. This would be fine, if I didn't have to plan a place for my pet to go when they plan to come in, which is often. One nice thing is, this is a VERY pet friendly community with only several breed restrictions. The property management is sub par and constantly frustrates me. I feel like things seldom get taken care of in a timely manner and their maintenance staff is not experienced. With all that being said, it is a nice community, you get what you pay for.
I've lived here for 20 plus years. My aunt has lived here for 40 plus years I've seen many of my friends leave this place, grow up into incredible individuals, I've also unfortunately known people who have passed away here. I have so many great memories growing up in this place. I love the convenience of having the grocery store, 7-11, fast food, and so many other stores less than 5 minutes in walking distance. The high school I attended is right across the street. Living here has been such a blessing for me as far as travel is concerned because everything is so close. Even the metro bus drops me off right in front of my apartment! However, the heat in the summer time is absolutely ridiculous! Our Air conditioning has not worked for as long as I can remember. This apartment becomes a sauna in the summer. I still loving living in this part of Los Angeles county, and I am blessed to have been able to live here this long!
Though the offfice staff can be a little bit rude at times, we've had a pretty good experience in the two years this has been our home. Lots of college kids and expensive rent but it is Granada Hills so it's what you would expect.
