This namesake town was originally the home of the first and oldest lighthouse in Michigan, Fort Gratiot Lighthouse. Currently, the lighthouse is located in modern-day Port Huron and Fort Gratiot is now known for its beautiful, sparse, open land. Nestled along Lake Huron, this small town is filled with green space, driving ranges, and waterfront parks. Lakeside Park and Beach is a popular spot with its splash pad, volleyball net, picnic areas, and more. For a more laid-back beach vibe without the crowds, residents flock to Fort Gratiot County Park.
Fort Gratiot is known for its commercial center, the largest shopping district in the county. Along 24th Avenue, residents enjoy a variety of grocery, department, and craft stores. It is a really awesome place to live everyone is friendly the landlord is the coolest person ever she got a heart of gold and will work her back end off trying to make everyone happy the maintenance guy is hilarious and has a grate seance of humor I've been here for a while now and still love it and this place is so good infact that I have 5 friends in total from highschool that live here as well the place is truly amazing
proximity to golf courses and the black river, its' really a hidden gem, Laura, the manager is a great person!!
Area is five minutes away from most commercial services and restaurants or only ten minutes away from downtown. The apartments are surrounded by woods which help negate any traffic noise; in addition, it provides excellent scenery for your mornings (there are deer!). Not too much interaction with management, but all of their employees are fantastic! Maintenance staff always on-site within a reasonable time and they even told me how to reach them if any problems happened during the weekend (staff offering help on their time off...what? Awesome!). Gayle is also great and very personable and friendly. She'll work with you and treat you like you're an actual human and not a customer. Last apartment complex I'll ever live in before I own a home!
Loved living here! Very good location. Excellent facilities. Management is wonderful. Would move back in for sure!
Please update your photos......several improvements have been made since then such as...new siding, all new garage doors, and landscaping with gazebo updated. Beautiful area. Thank you!!
