Situated at the heart of Idaho's largest city, downtown Boise combines the amenities of a modern city with the warmth and safety of a small community. During the day, the wide streets buzz with professionals. In the evening, the restaurants and bars near the intersection of West Idaho Street and North 8th Street come alive with live music and outdoor dining. Residents enjoy a range of housing options, from sleek apartments near the commercial area to single-family homes on the surrounding residential streets.
After work, residents head to Bittercreek Ale House for a draft beer and a locally-sourced, grass-fed lamb burger — for an indulgent snack, try the poutine, a local favorite. When you want an active evening, go for a run in the spacious Julia Davis Park and pause to watch people tubing down the Boise River. Well-maintained sidewalks and dedicated bike lanes enable safe walking and biking around the compact neighborhood.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Gibson | 5th & Idaho
The Gibson is so great! Great people, amazingly convenient. We walk literally everywhere!!
Incredible location and value for downtown Boise. EVERYTHING within 5-6 blocks walking radius. Friendly, engaging Management Staff treat you like family. I re-located here from out of state, and instantly received a warm "Idaho Welcome" from both Gibson staff and fellow Gibson Apartment occupants.
Proximity to nearly everything accommodates walking such that our car stays parked for consecutive weeks at a time. It's great being able to ride a bicycle out the bike room door and be on the Green Belt or on a trail in the Reserve within ten minutes. Management and maintenance have been wonderful to work with and prompt in resolving any of the few issues that have arisen. Living downtown might not be for everyone but suits us well.
The Gibson is the best place to live for the Downtown Living experience! Right in the heart of everything but on a quiet corner that maximizes comfort.
Gibson apartments is the “Real Deal” if you want to experience the total “ Urban Experience” living in Downtown Boise!! Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING you possible need or desire is literally within a 6 block or less radius from The Gibson! Restaurants, bars, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, the Boise river, parks and bike trails!! Boise State campus and Stadium, retail shopping, 2 coffee shops literally across the street!! If you’re a Sports Fan, Parrillos Grill next door features multiple screens, $5 burritos and $2 Tecate beers ( you read that right! ) during selected times. What’s NOT to like!! The Gibson has it all!!
Great building in a great location with great staff. Biggest complaint is that the parking spot is a little tight, but I understand the constraints around that.
