My Senior Citizens Apartment
This is my first time living in an apartment, do to the lost of our family home and my husband illness. I only wish you had the contest for morgages too. Our apartment in located in the south part of New Rochelle,NY. It is a independent senior living facility. The building have (7) seven floors and we live on the third floor. We have a full kitchen 10' x 12' with lots of cabinets and room for one small round table and three chairs. Stanless steel sink and very up to date stove oven. The living room is 9' x 10' 10" with window that are from the ceiling all most to the floor. We have one love seat, wall book cases, tv stand ( no tv), one floor lamp and wall to wallcarpet. The bedroom is 13' 6" x 10' 10" wth the same type of windows in the living room, wall to wallcarpet.We have a Queen size bed,chester drawers, a chair,tv stand and a make up table for me. Bathroom is about 8' x 10' with a walk in shower, sink and toilet. With hand bars all around the walls. The whole apartment is fire safety a long with the building. There is a lounge for residents with tables,chairs,sofa, fire place and a library. Out door garden with sitting areas,dining room (only if you belong to meal,transportion and house keeping pragram )to use. The building is maintained with a great staff. If we win this would help me a lot,I would have the extra money to give my husband more medical care that he will be needing. Thank you

I've lived in this 7-yr-old pre-fab senior building for 4 years. I have a 1-bdrm, full kitchen unit, approx. 570 sq ft. Pros: Tenant-controlled heat/air conditioning, elevators, automatic building generator in case of power outage, garden seating area, laundry facilities, exercise room, computer room, TV room. Management on site. Cons: Single-panel vertical window in each rm opens only 2.5 inches. Windy rainstorms cause ceiling leaks and bubbling. Management insists that the cause is unknown and I've been waiting 3 years for repair, despite several requests.
