Property Ratings at Garden Grove Apartments
This is the worst place I've ever lived. Over priced, full of termites and other vermin and pests. I've seen rats, caught a mouse, roaches and termites. My dogs also contracted fleas. Water in community has been shut off 4 times in less than a year. I have had 5 mandatory annual inspections in less than a year. People have entered my apartment without permission or notice. I've had to call the police on the staff. Run from this place! Especially if you're a single person or have children, it's not safe.
Moving to garden grove has been awesome my unit was a remodel which they are doing to each unit as people move out I totally see the efforts and changes this property is making !! very sweet office girls very present and promt maintenance. Also it is an older property so something’s may not be perfect but this community is clean quite and family oriented also a 3 minute drive to the beach !!! I love it !!!
Management does not care one bit. I am dying to move out!! Do NOT RENT HERE. The buildings are all infested!!
I had rats, fleas, flooding, broken appliances that were never fixed properly - black specks in shower water amongst many other issues during the 5 years I lived here. You can find something better elsewhere for the price you pay here.
These apartments are Infested with termites and the rude office staff is determined to do absolutely nothing about it I am warning you now do not rent from these apartments or all of your furniture will be destroyed they have had termites for 3 to 5 years and the bug guy who was here advised us of so.
I have lived at Garden Grove for several years and it has been a very nice experience. They have done a lot of improvements over the years, from painting the outside and new roofs to updating the inside of my apartment. The office staff is so helpful and friendly from the manager Cathy to Jennifer the assistant not to mention the maintenance staff and Phil the head guy. They all go out of their way to do what they can to help us. I would recommend Garden Grove to all of my friends and family. They continue to make improvements and care about the apartments and the residents. So I Love calling this place home.
I moved here a year ago and this place is convenient to the beach and 75 and all the other local area of interest. The apartments a large and have everything any one could need and the prices are fair. The people who run it are very professional and friendly. The apartments are kept up nice and they seemed to care as they keep doing more stuff to update the appearance. I really enjoy living here as it is a good value for your money. I would recommend it to anyone as there are very nice people who live here.
I tried for months to get an answer about the "allocated" portion on my bill. I finally contacted their 3rd party billing company & discover the "allocated" portion is fees accessed to the property that are shared out amongst the residents. When we went to signing we asked if there was a "Rubs". We were told that the units were individually metered & that we just paid for what we used. I tried working this out with the office staff. I was advised that "the 3rd party billing company needs to read their contract" & "your bill isn't that high so you should just pay it cause we'll make you pay it anyway." I'm sorry but I won't deal with a company that doesn't have transparent business practices. They accessed fees to me without my knowledge or consent. Does this mean I can then join in a contract with someone else to access them fees they weren't aware of? Yet this is what they do to EVERY resident here. Now we're glared at & are treated in an unprofessional manner. I sent an e-mail over advising of needed maintenance & it's not done that was last week. My rent is paid in full every month. The maintenance we do get isn't done properly. There are hornets nests all over the property. For what you get for your $ it's just not worth it. Find a community with nice office staff who care & are honest with you. Trust me you'll sleep better at night.
They Don't upkeep the buildings. They allow (small Dogs) If your idea of a small dog is a great dane. So it sometimes feels as if you are living in a kennel. The kids bus stop is right outside the Main Part of the Apartments. The only redeeming part of the whole place is the grounds are kept nice. If I ever needed work done they are quick to see the problem is fixed Properly
Stay Away - Office friendly until you sign the lease. The neighborhood has not changed in ages, what you expect is what you get...
I have been living in Garden Grove since 2008. I have always had a Great relationship with the girls in the office along with the maintenance staff.. We had a great loss in John our maint. mgr. , but Phil has really stepped up to the plate and is doing his best for all of us. Every complex will have things you like/don't like. Mainly it is the people, everyone has a different view of things. For those that are not happy "LEAVE" as for me. I will continue enjoying the people, the staff,and the beautiful grounds that I live on.. Don't let 1 persons negativity darken Garden Grove. Those of us that are long term residents and stay within the guidelines set forth in the lease, continue to sign year after year.. Hmmm, must be a reason for that. Come talk to us,we enjoy meeting new people and welcome you to Garden Grove.
This would be an awesome community if the office staff treated the tenants with respect. The ladies in this office need customer service training. I have not found one that has been pleasant. Well, maybe "J" would count as the most pleasant, but she still needs a little work as well.
