Historically one of the economic and cultural powerhouses of the Midwest, Detroit is full of people who are working towards redevelopment and revitalization. Known as the origin of the automobile industry, the Motor City is moving towards a future of economic opportunity with roots far beyond the world of cars. The cost of living is low while rental rates for apartments, condos, and houses are highly attractive for any budget.
Monuments paying tribute to Detroit’s rich history are everywhere while astonishing architecture and public artwork is scattered throughout the city. As the birthplace of Motown, Detroit has a long tradition of producing legendary musicians like Diana Ross and Stevie Wonder. This tradition continues today and it’s easy to find live performances from every genre.
The city is a great destination for sports lovers as one of the few American cities with major leagues in football, baseball, basketball, and hockey.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Beach Club Detroit
I moved in a month ago and am loving it so far! My apt is nice and clean and remodeled. Kim in the office is also very friendly and quick to help with any issues. Not to mention, I love being able to go to the beach as well as nearby Belle Isle to soak in the sun and views after work. I'm happy to live in such a great place in Detroit :) ———- Update after 3 years of living here: The location and the beach are still both FABULOUS and the main reasons that I’ve stayed. Not to mention, the riverwalk is right next door. For someone who loves being outside, especially by water, these things are truly priceless! Several of the neighbors are also very kind and friendly, creating a warm community feel. As for the units, my first unit was newly remodeled and in perfect condition. I didn’t have a single maintenance issue with it in the year I was there. My second unit has been pretty good, though with some issues, including leaking ceilings (bedroom and utility room when it rains) and an unusable shower for about 10 days due to it leaking down into the unit below me. That said, there have been several issues with the complex over the past couple of years: - 2+ months without electricity this past summer (no communication from management during this time) - leaking windows (rain and winter condensation) - no window screens (have been asking for 3 years and have only received 1) - 7 months of bed bug hell because of a neighbor’s unit (eventually had to change units) - 1+ week with no hot water during the coldest part of winter There has also been a lot of turnover lately, and after having lived in a quiet, respectful environment over the past years, several of the newly occupied units now have revolving doors of guests (and oftentimes prop the main doors open for them) with people running up and down the stairs, talking loudly and slamming doors late into the night. Additionally, there’s been a lot of speeding through the parking lot and guests parking in residents’ spots. Additionally, a few weeks ago someone backed into my car, causing damage, and didn’t even bother to leave a note. The safety and wellbeing of fellow residents is being compromised and not much is being done about it.
Great place to stay! The staff is great! Management has been great!
Great Property Manager, upcoming amenities amazing, beach front to relax, great location, love that they are pet friendly and best of all Geo Thermal and Camera Security system.
This historical property is in a great location and right on the river. New property manager is amazing.
