The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Foxwood Apartments
We are about to move out of Foxwoods because our lease is almost up so I feel like now that I have been here for almost a whole year, I can write a proper review. I would say you definitely get what you pay for. I had an issue early on with a really sketchy neighbor who was doing drug deals (he was evicted by law enforcement) but besides him, everyone in our building have been extremely kind. I have never had any issues when we get stuff sent here and I do not believe other people have either. My one issue is that when they renovated these units, you can tell it was very poorly done/done by people who don't know what they are doing. You can see drywall tape through the paint that they put over. There's is also paint on door knobs, there were nail holes in the wall still, and the outlets soon became unstuck from the wall so we have just glued them back in place because the apartment rarely actually fixes something. The ceiling literally has a dip in it. We had mold come up due to the bathroom shower head leaking (which maintenance said they fixed and they didn't). Now we are paying for a 2bd and 2 bath and in reality we aren't using one of the bathrooms due to worrying about mold. We also have had an issue recently of the floor coming up and all they do is come and look at it and close your maintenance ticket without resolving. We have also had an issue for months about the main door to our building slamming SO loud. My husband and I could be in our master with the door shut and our sound blocker behind the door and we STILL hear the door slam. I put in a maintenance request and yet again, it was closed without being resolved or a comment explaining why they couldn't fix it. Again, for the rent you pay, you cant be surprised by all the issues. The people in the office are super nice and kind. They do all types of events for the kids in the complex for holidays. I only got to visit the pool once in the summer because I was so busy but it was nice the one time I went. I love the area and the grounds of the property. I will miss the area, however, I will NOT miss living here.
We have been at Foxwoods for about 2 months and it was been nothing short of awesome. On our initial tour, our tour guide was great. It was so awesome to get to see the actual unit you will be in. The approval process was super quick and seamless. The apartment is super spacious will all brand new appliances which is a huge plus. Within our first 2 weeks of being there, we noticed our heater was not working. We emailed and put in a maintenance request and they came out next business day and replaced the heater and now it works great. We have super friendly neighbors which is always a plus. The facility has cleaning people that come and clean the common areas of the apartment which is a huge plus. We have had nothing but an awesome experience and Foxwoods and would recommend calling Foxwoods home!
BEWARE!!! Do not rent here. My daughter lived here (I was a co-signer) for a year and there were problems with her electricity and hot water. Maintenance is slow. The dumpsters were always overflowing. All communication is either via email or text and you can pay rent through their online portal. However, their lease renewal/notice to vacate process is NOT through the portal. They taped a form to her apartment door, which she swears she filled out and put in the drop box outside of the office (she was planning to move for months before the end of her lease). Management claims they never received it. She didn't take a picture of it because she didn't think she had to. Funny how they were then able to email a copy of the form to me, which I filled out and returned that same day. The lease then moved month to month (and they charged a $150 fee!!) and 60 days notice was required. So, I got stuck paying for a month and losing our security deposit. Awful and incompetent process!! Everything else is electronic, but not this...seems like they want to take advantage of people because they can't fill all of their apartments.
High turnover in management has led to maintenance requests being ignored. New building managers are unprofessional, irresponsive, and often rude. The building is disgusting, falling apart, and the trash is not picked up regularly. My rent has been raised continually despite building amenities (laundry, pool, and the gym) being out of order. On top of the unpleasantness inside the building, it's located in a bad area and you should expect shootings to be a regular occurance. Don't move here.
My partner lived here, and I was appalled by the state of the facility. Inside the buildings, there is trash, and food all over the hallways. The stairs are broken, and there are no elevators so it's hard to move into and out of. The dumpsters are constantly overflowing, there are constant shootings and police activity in the neighborhood. Apartments constantly have maintenance issues, and maintenance is incompetent in fixing said issues, resulting in tenant property damage. The leasing office is impossible to get in touch with and is very shady when it comes to logistics and communication. Most places are better to live than here.
I toured the 2 bedroom 2 bath in the upton. To me it was very spacious, clean, and looks like they just remolded it! The tour guide was the sweetest, Tara, only downside of the community is that there is alot of hills, but it was very peaceful and welcoming !
No! I'm actually not interested in the community. I was shown an apartment that has an entry door that isn't secure no lock and barely a handle. The hallway had dirty carpets that smell all the balconies were dirty and clutter blocked by trees with no natural lighting. The web site says dog park and there isn't one. The grills that you have to offer are old and dirty. This is going to be a major no for me. I wish I could use no stars. Also all of the money goes to the office and the pool. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!
