Property Ratings at Fox Hill Townhomes
I want to preface this by saying this review is based solely on my personal experience living here under the new ownership/management. In my opinion, this landlord does not operate in a community-driven way. After doing some research, I also noticed that the company appears to have previously operated under a different name that carried many negative reviews, which raised some concerns for me. Since taking over, management’s immediate action has been to impose a significant rent increase (over 30%) on tenants who have lived here for years, despite this being a low-income/restricted income area where wages are notably lower than larger cities like Richmond. On top of that, they are removing amenities that were previously included, such as trash services and in-unit washer/dryers. In my personal experience, communication with management has been inconsistent—emails are often unanswered or only partially addressed, and responses are rarely timely. My own unit has not been renovated, remains quite dated, and yet the rent increase being asked is comparable to much newer properties in nearby cities that actually include amenities. With just one online search, I found multiple better options in the area for the same or even lower rent. From my perspective, this landlord seems primarily profit-driven with little regard for residents’ quality of life or long-term community stability. Based on my experience, I would not recommend renting here, as there are better alternatives nearby for the same cost with more reliable management and included amenities.
