Fountains at Forestwood

*update as of 10/2024: Manager, Lisa, and assistant manager, Sherri, both have said they will reach out to the roofing company and get back to me. Yet don’t return emails when they say the will, my roof is still leaking and the bedroom wall is turning discolored from continuous months of water damage. They have shown no interest in sending anyone to check for mold. *update 9/2024: the water coming into the apartment has worsened and is coming through my walls as well. The manager and assistant manager have not answered my emails and now place my maintenance requests on hold. It’s been a terrible experience recently with this new management and their neglectfulness of serious issues renters have. Unfortunately, the complex has gone downhill in the recent months. The new management has put little to no effort in addressing the issues current residents have, and have thus far lacked the ability to be abiding lease agreements. I have had a water leak into my apartment bedroom through the roof since June. I have submitted numerous maintenance requests, called continually and spoken to the manager and assistant manager many times and still have had no resolution whatsoever. The manager and assistant manager stated my two options were to stay in my current apartment and they would “expedite” repairs, this was several week ago and still nothing has been resolved. Or I could move into a new apartment, with no guarantee on pricing (meaning my rent would most likely be raised) and I would be forcing myself into a brand new 12 month lease when they couldn’t fix the roof damages or abide by the current signed lease I’m under. The water damage has continued to worsen, and I fear for mold growth in the area as it has been wet for 90+ days and they’ve sent no one to look for this issue and have shown no concern in the potential health hazard this could cause. It’s incredibly disappointing as I had no issues with the previous management company, but now go circles with the manager and assistant manager trying to get a resolution to water leaking into my bedroom every time it rains. This is incredibly frustrating, with false narratives told to me by management promising it will be fixed, and how important their renter relationships are, yet how negligent they have remained during this whole ordeal and continue to be. be mindful of renting here that major issues are not addressed, leases are not followed, and management has been no help in trying to come to a resolution.

I absolutely love living here! The apartment complex is beautifully maintained, with modern amenities and spacious layouts. The new management team is responsive and always helpful, addressing any concerns promptly. The common areas, like the pool, gym, and lounge, are clean and well-kept, making it easy to relax or work out. Highly recommend!

The complex has completely turned around with new management that started last spring. Very responsive and timely with requests. Highly recommended!

I really don’t have anything good to say about it. Also, I was never told that my water bill would be separate from the rest of the community. It isn’t. I am charged an equal percentage of what the entire community uses, which does not lend me to try and conserve water the way that I can serve electricity.

I love living here, people are friendly, maintenance is great and it's always a pleasant experience to go to the office. The apartments are nice and quiet! It's great here!!

The fountains at forestwood is overall a poor community. The management team treats you less than. The maintenance team is inconsistent. My apartment was not move in ready the day they scheduled me to move in. The toilet was DISGUSTING the air vents were riddled with dust. The washer/dryer combo was completely broken and wouldn’t run. The dishwasher was broken and wouldn’t even turn on. The microwave didn’t have a functioning handle. The baseboards in my apartment are chewed up and missing from previous residents. The AC unit has broken a total of 9 times since living here. Overall I would not recommend this property and i will not renew my lease.

Hidden gem in SWFL! Property management and maintenance crew are always professional. I’ve been living in their community for a little over 3 years, and they make hard for me to move out lol. Thank you for all what you do, Fountains of Forestwood!

This community is very friendly and peaceful. Nice neighbors. Excellent staff and top notch responsive maintenance staff. The community amenities are nice and the lovely lakes with fountains add to the serene ambience.

I have rented in many places during my lifetime. At those places I have never felt that I was part of a community. Although, I am aware that there is a business part to renting, the care and true sense of community from office staff, maintenance staff, and all other stakeholders is something that is palpable at Fountains at Forrestwood.

Very nice property with great location and amenities even after the Hurricane the grounds were cleaned up as much as possible and work was started to finalize repairs and restoration fairly quickly

I like living here because of the lakes & the beautiful wildlife. Since hurricane Ian, there has been new management & they have been doing much to improve the community. I like to give a shout out to Carmen, who has been wonderful in answering my questions & is very kind.

I was there today and the leasing agent was very helpful and profesional. Great location , nice amenities and good units. I toured a second floor unit with a nice view over a lake with a fountain.

Great location , walk distance to pharmacy , restaurants , gas station. Love the amenities!! Central located in a beautiful neighborhood.

While living here, I have been very happy. As at my last place, maintenance didn’t do much. However, here maintenance has always stayed on top of the tasks I needed done. Alex was the last person who helped me here and I will say, he was very friendly and helpful. He is a very great tech! I love it here at Fountain at Forestwood!

since the new management change the maintenance team that we have now are amazing and quick when it comes to work orders being put it thank you for changing it up I love this place.

I ran into some problems after the hurricane and brought them up to maintenance. Alex was very understanding and considerate of my problems and concerns . He urgently replaced my washer and blinds . Very satisfied and felt like my problem was fixed right away.

I was looking for a place that I can call Home. Fountains At Forestwood make feel like at was already home from the first visit, on my move-in date and after. Great staff, great service, apartment and amenities owesome. Be honest I'm really appreciated how the staff from the office and the maintenance respond and taking care of me and my family. I was happy with the apartment: clean, all in working order. I reported some furniture indentations on the living room floor on my move-in report. After moving out, my security deposit was held due to floor damages. Absolutely no response to my emails and calls trying to find out more or talk with someone. I won in small claims court but what a hassle.

I should’ve known it was gonna be a disaster from the beginning when the apartment wasn’t even ready on the move in date. Literally had to wait to move in because they called the cleaning ladies at the last minute. Everything is falling apart. Bathroom, cabinet doors, pantry door. Very weird layout. Gate never works. Management is incompetent.

This place is the worse! Management is a nightmare. I have been having AC problems for the last 3 months, coming home to 83 degree temperatures in my apartment! Nothing ever works. Took me about a year and a half to get my disposal fixed. My ceiling in my bathroom is literally falling off. Shower water is always cold, or Lukewarm. Gate never works. Frogs EVERYWHERE! I have lived here for about 2 years now, and there has been two shootings here. They continue to ask me for my key, because they do not have copies. I have never lived in an apartment complex that didn’t have a spare copy of the key. Took them 2 months to get me a new key for my mailbox. I have been harassed for noise complaints when it was never me after they decided to investigate the 5th time they received a noise complaint when I was out of state. I have heard nightmare cases where a man that lived here didn’t have a working fridge for almost a year! The washer/dryer is trash. Takes me 4 hrs wash and dry one load ?? They never answer the phones. Never respond to emails! They call you for maintenance related issues when the office is minutes from closing, so if you miss the call, and try to call back, the office is closed so you can’t reach anyone! APARTMENT COMPLEX IS ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE!

The worst staff I have experienced. Incredibly unprofessional, rude, and do not care about their residents at all. My boyfriend and I have lived here for 3 years and the majority of the time, the gate was broken and pool was closed. They will say it is because of covid, but this was an issue long before. The amenities stated on your lease is not what you will receive. The apartments are incredibly cheaply put together, so you will have to call maintenance frequently for every kind of issue you can imagine. For example, what they say is a washer/dryer in one unit will take 6 hours to do one load of laundry, if it does not break down first. We will be moving out in 2 weeks and I am counting down the days until we can be done with this horrible apartment complex.

Where do I start? I've been living in this community for 11 months, the gate has always been broken so its basically an open community, pool has been broken for about 5 months, I can't even bring my daughters to the park because there's rusty nails coming out of the old wood in the park, there's no security staff, people are allowed to store tools and old broken items everywhere makes it look like an abandoned neighborhood ( if you see one of the pictures theres even a business van picking up their ladders from the grass where they keep them), once my laundry machine broke and I had to wait 2 whole months before it was repaired, the staff just say yes to everything when you call but won't perfom any repairs (rachel, jemisa and carmen), packages get stolen, roaches on the units and abandoned cars of the parking, the only good thing about it is the location, if you plan to just sleep in your apartment and don't plan to have anything to do with the community this is your place, but if you want a place where you can actually enjoy you community and take your kids to a pool, park or just go for a walk and enjoy the view, well, look somewhere else from the botton of my heart I tell you that advise, thank god I'm moving out soon

I currently live here, the gate has been broken for 3 years, the neighborhood is wide open, so packages get stolen ALL THE TIME, there's no security, Pool was shut down by the county 3 months ago! And no repair date on sight, people are allowed to keep broken things in the yard in front of the unit so some buildings look like a rundown trailer park (some are nice too), the gym is not that bad, and the units are ok, but you can do better for what they charge here, can't wait for my lease to be over to move out, STAY AWAY!!!

Dealt with a roach infestation for months with no help despite constant work order submittals. Horrible experience.

First and foremost this place is not worth the rent. The staff is friendly, but that's where the pleasantries end. Trash valet is $50 a month and they'll take you up around midnight when they finally get your trash. I've had to chase away drug dealers from in front of my apartment. And on Sunday, 01/19/2020 there was a drug related shootout in front of the property. I had a front row seat to that experience. Renters Beware!

I was living at the residents when the old management ran the property, this new 2018 management team surpasses the old management team by far. I just wanted to post this review because I’ve noticed the reviews/ratings are not the best for this facility, but I blame the old management. The new team has cleaned this place up. The new maintaince team might be the nicest team of men I’ve had work at my place thus far. Anyhow, I would recommend coming in and seeing the place because it really speaks for itself, not the bad reviews.

First things first! Don't be fooled! The leasing office is very nice and nicely decorated. The staff for the most part are very friendly and welcoming. However, the apartment are the cheapest apartments I have ever laid my eyes on. Poor poor construction is written all ove fountains of forestwood. For starters! The front door, the actual door is too big so it gets stuck, they didn't seal the door properly so air goes out and bugs come in. The window is COVERED with bugs inside and outside. The paint is mostly likely the cheapest paint they could get their hands on. I can scratch of the paints of the wall with my finger nails. The kitchen cabinets are cheap and very small. The stove is disgusting. The kitchen water fochet is lose. The fake wood floors are uneven. The wall outlets are loose and some don't even work. There's paint in areas where paint should never have been. The laundry machine is a washer and dryer all in one so you can run the washer and run the dryer at the same time. You'll have to wash first then dry. Takes literally 6 hours to finish ONE LOAD of laundry. You can't even open the bathroom door all the way because they squeezed in the laundry unit so hard inside the tiny closet that it hits the laundry. The tub is disgusting!!!!! Doesn't matter how much bleach and how much I scrub the black doesn't come out!!!!! The front door knobes are a JOKE!!!! There are missing hinches on the closet. The suppose "24 hour maintenance" crew doesn't speak English. What exactly is one suppose to do if we don't speak Spanish? They don't even answer immediately!!! They ask you to leave a message!!!! My apartment was almost broken into and a new front door is needed. Maintenance came by for about 5 minutes fixed NOTHING and left. Not to mention I took the day off work to be here while they fixed it. What a waste that was. They'll come into your apartment with out warning. The lake is disgusting and most likely has never been clean. Pest control is included in rent but I have yet to see any pest control going on! The pool is always filled with loud obnoxious people WHO DONT EVEN LIVE IN THIS COMPLEX. There's no firm of security in the complex. The laundry units in the laundry room are SMALL. Might as well use my apartment in unit laundry. Plus they are super hard to locate. I am EXTREMELY dissappointed and regret ever moving here.

I have never stayed in an apartment this bad. There is an awful smell. No matter how much I clean and scrub the entire apartment, it stinks. The smell is in my clothes, couch and all of my things. I found a mouse in my apartment a few months ago. After some time, I finally caught it. I am up in the middle of the night because there is a mouse in my walls. There has been scratching and footsteps for the last 2 hours. Whats even worse is the customer service. No one calls you back. Don't get fooled by this place. It's about $100 - $150 cheaper a month in rent and now I know why. They show you the model which is nice, but the other apartments are trashed, smell and have rodents.

I cannot wait for my lease to run out in 6 months. There is always construction going on and I do not feel safe in the area. Please look elsewhere to live or you will regret it. Maybe after the construction the place won't look like a dumpster fire. Also, the pool is awful to use due to kids always running around with not much supervision.

I have lived here for 2 years and love it! I am now going to go to one of their newly renovated units and it is gorgeous! I can't wait. The grounds are great for walking my dog and its close to everything.

Please consider alternative dwelling than this construction site that's removing all amenities "what they call improvements" and research elsewhere. Terrible service at office, maintenance quick but inefficient and all round incompetent management . Too expensive for what's around in fort myers and not very animal friendly ..........

This neighborhood is in a good location and is in a relatively safe area. The staff at the leasing office have always been helpful in expediting maintenance requests and during the leasing process. I live in an upgraded apartment with tile cabinets and floors, instead of wood, and a washer/dryer unit, instead of having to walk to the laundry facility. Trust me, worth the extra money just for the washer/dryer. Overall, I've had a great experience in this neighborhood and would recommend it to anyone looking for inexpensive housing in Fort Myers.

Nice and quiet complex no problems with crime. 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms nice hardwood floors. Several laundry facility on property. Rent expensive but my 13 year old son and I need a roof over our heads. This is the first time he's had his own room and he's loving it. Am a single parent doing what I have to do for my son and I.

I stayed here 3 years and I love the location. Nice landscape and very quite. Safe for everyone.
