I've lived here since 2016, and I love it. I have a lovely home with nice neighbors and cute pets everywhere! Our kitten got out and our neighbors were so sweet and helpful. Plenty of space for our family, and everyone is Iowa nice.

My "Cabin in the Woods" but in the middle of the City! I Love my view of the lake and all of its Inhabitants and Visitors. Peaceful and Serene. Inside my unit, I'm as cozy as the Geese outside floating in the lake.

The apartment we live in keeps our utilities very low. A lot cheaper than last home we lived it. And my water bill is also low. Nice savings.

I have been here for six years. My apartment is very nice and when I moved in it was clean. My neighbors are nice. There are kids in the neighborhood but I have had no problems with them. It's been a great place to live.

Most if not all of us, are far away from home. Being at the Fountains doesn't make me miss home much. It is a home away from home. The amenities, the maintenance of the property, proximity to stores, mall, exercise facilities and restaurants will make your stay worthwhile.

Very professional office staff and easy to work with, the location is prime for an easy commute, the maintenance staff team does a great job keeping the property well-kept and fixing things in a timely fashion. Snow removal is prompt, no problems with noise or concerns about security.

I love living at the Fountains, I have no complaints.
I love it here. The management is terrific so nice and pleasant to talk to. They get things done when you ask. Can't say enough about them. Come and enjoy The Fountains you will love it like I do.

We loved our stay here at The Fountains. Just got out of California last year, this place has welcomed us ever since. From the time we first met the friendly office staff to the time we finally moved in, it has been a memorable experience ever since! We enjoy the sun rises above the tall lush trees behind our unit everyday. It’s the benefit of being at the 3rd floor, I guess. The place is so serene and secure at night that a night stroll after dinner is a good habit to keep. This small community is so convenient to most necessities like grocery store, pharmacy, gas station and everyone’s favorite: McD! They are all in walking distance is a real gem. This place is very affordable. You don’t pay for water and trash removal. And it’s cable-ready too! Plus, they are repainting the outside structure so it looks brand new. We just got a small house that we can call our own. It’s time to leave. We have a lot of fond memories here at The Fountains: from the first snowfall to the gentle ushering of spring. I hope you can try it out yourself and experience what this place can offer you. We will surely miss this place. PS. Talk to Sarah, she’s a wonderful person to get to know.
I have lived here 3 years and have had nothing but a wonderful experience. Staff has always been very responsive and their maintenance staff is EXCELLENT! This was my first experience living in a "city" and I felt safe here. I had a noise complaint about my neighbors and it was handled right away and in a discreet manner. Any maintenance issues I had were handled very quickly. It is clean and my apartment had brand new paint, carpet, and cupboards throughout. It is roomy and you can't beat the price. I was really supprised to see any negative comments. It looks like they were several years ago, so maybe things have changed - I really do like living here. The only reason I am moving is because my family is growing and I need a bigger place. I will miss the pool and game room though! I wouldn't hesitate to move here again.
Excellent place to live! My daughter and I love it here. Management and the staff are wonderful, and the complex is very well-kept. We have lived here nearly a year and have had no issues. I would definitely recommend this place.

I warn you, do not live here. I lived there for two years, and it was the worst experience I have ever had with an apartment. I have lived in 4 different apartment complexes, and this by far takes the cake for the worst management. You will not get your entire deposit back - the list of things they give you to complete before you move out is impossible. You will not be able to park anywhere near your building. They will tow you if you don't have your parking pass out, or will tow your guests. They will charge you if anything goes wrong with your washer and dryer that is out of your control. In the winter, your electricity bill will be insane because there is so much leakage from cold air through windows and doors. There are bug EVERYWHERE - spiders, ants, etc. The management will make you feel like a burden for everything that happens, or for whatever reason you call them for. They are the rudest people I have ever met. I wouldn't recommend living here to even my worst enemy. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND RUN AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION! THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER APARTMENTS TO LIVE IN IN WEST DES MOINES, AND MUCH BETTER. TRUST ME.
These apartments are nice but once you get to know the people who work in the office they are not nice at all. Have sent in several complaints about our refrigerator leaking and they've said multiple times that it was because we were leaving the door open. I love the apartment and location but the office staff do not help to keep people in this complex.
Staff was easy to work with until we signed our lease. After that, anything we needed was like pulling teeth. Maintenance was rude, and would randomly enter without calling.
