If I could give zero stars I would. We have lived in 3 different units on this property and have had nothing but problems. From noisy neighbors, to trash overflowing, to being threatened by neighbors, and pot smell in every apartment. This place is full of issues and that is not even all of it. Parking is a nightmare and has been the entire time we have been here and this complex is just shady overall. Today we gave our intent to move out and the apartment complex responded by charging us $2800+ for an error that was made on their part 10 months ago. We have dealt with Sarah for all of these issues and nothing ever gets resolved. Save yourself the time and energy and pass on this complex.

My car was just hit in the parking lot last night. When I came to ask about video cameras I was instructed they are only in the front of the building where the lease office is. This is a huge complex that should have cameras. I was unaware of this. Also they didn’t even care about where it happened or what apartment I was in to figure out if there was even a possibility of seeing the accident. I was instructed to file a police report then call my insurance with no details. I work late and there is rarely any parking so I had to park on the other side of the complex. It is very dark.. imagine how I now feel they do not provide proper security.
I loved here its wonderful place to live. Very friendly neighbors. Very peaceful.
I moved in at the end of May and its felt like home from the first night I was in my apartment. It was an effortless process to become a resident. Sarah is very professional, kind and helpful. The entire staff is. I see how hard the maintenance team works to keep the community clean. Living here truly feels like home, I already see myself resigning my lease because its such a great community to call home.

I've lived at the Fortress Grove Apartments for 9 years and I have enjoyed living in this community. The grounds in our community are well-maintained and the maintenance crew is swift to respond to any maintenance issues. The leasing office is quick to respond to any email inquiries/concerns.

I have lived here for 3 years. It was pretty decent the first year, however it has gradually been getting worse as the rent continues to increase. We have had vandalism problems in the parking lot, the pool was closed for the first 2 weeks of summer for maintenance, the bathrooms by the pool are always locked and not available, the drinking fountain by the pool has been broken the entire time I have been here, constant parking problems. I have been blocked in by cars parking where there are not spots. There is a huge ant problem and we pay extra for pest control, I still had to buy stuff to take care of it myself. My washing machine broke, which I submitted a repair request days ago and they can't give me an estimate when it will be fixed. And the kicker, just today I had planned to grill for dinner, and of course, the grills are both broken "until further notice". I keep waiting and hoping management will improve. Update** I have now lived here for almost 9 years...management has changed multiple times. It seemed like a things were getting better but no. Parking is an issue. The problem is made worse by the office not having parking stickers to give to residents. They have been out of stickers for almost 2 years and give photocopies of stickers to residents and call it a “temporary” parking pass. It’s a copy that people can easily copy and give to guests. Then there are never any spots. My daughter came home from work, there was no spot so she parked on a curb that was NOT blocking anyone. Her car was towed with no phone call to us or a knock on the door. Her car is listed on my lease and has an actual parking sticker and not a copy because we have lived here for 9 years and have had that car on the lease for 8. The courtesy of a phone call to move the car wasn’t offered, and it was towed during the day when she or I could have been contacted. After 9 years of living here and never paying rent late it is crazy to be treated with such a lack of respect. Other issues, bathrooms in the common area are never open, even when the common area is open. I called last week and asked for them to be open and to check to see if the grills had gas to use and was told yes. One of the grills was empty, the bathrooms were both locked. I have friends that live in other properties and never have to deal with these issues. Good management is so important! I DO NOT recommend moving to this complex. You will not feel valued as a resident!

Any car parked in the street, and not in a parking space is illegally parked and subject to towing as per your lease agreement. The pool bathrooms open when the pool opens for the summer, the drinking fountain had been closed due to Covid protocols as well as only 1 grill in use due to social distancing because of how close the grills are. Fortress Grove has amazing staff members that are extremely helpful and professional. The grounds are kept immaculate. The area itself is nice and quiet. The apt is beautiful and spacious.
I would recommend getting a renovated apartment because everything is up to date, nothing is falling apart. We live in a non renovated one and I seem to be calling every two weeks to a month about something, appliances, etc. A garage if you want no parking trouble. Literally. The Staff are nice and great people.

I LOVE THE APARTMENT COMPLEX AND COMMUNITY CULTURE. I lived in Green Hills and Brentwood, but there is not comparison to this place. I have manage to find peace of mind in here. It is a beautiful place. I cannot get enough of it. I just feel it as home regardless the turn off that implies the apartments are just for rent not sale. I just simply enjoy living here.
Do not rent here. You will be very sorry. Noise is very bad. Every time anyone goes up or down stairs or even walks around upstairs your apartment will shake and it’s bad. Security officers don’t respond and management will say they will reach out but but nothing ever gets resolved. If you don’t like noise, don’t move here.

First off, we have had our door banged on by our upstairs neighbors for complaining about their noise levels and we had to literally hide in our own apartment because we were scared that they were going to come through the door. We then had to hear our upstairs neighbor continuing to yell through the walls and ceiling threatening things to us. After this stopped, we obviously did not fell safe in our apartment and had to literally sneak out of our own apartment to avoid walking past our upstairs neighbors door because we were worried they might do something to us. We then called the apartment complex in which we were told to called back on Friday morning. So we stayed offsite because we didn’t feel safe in our own home and went back to the office on Friday morning. Friday morning we explained our situation to Sarah and we’re basically told that she would contact the neighbors. We also stated that we wanted to look at transferring or ending our lease because we obviously feel unsafe and we’re basically told that since they have upped the rent almost $300 for the exact same floor plan since we moved in that we would have to pay the new higher rent to transfer because they failed to provide a safe living environment and we are literally fearing for our lives every time we have to go to our own home to grab what we will need to stay elsewhere. Along with this, we also looked to see if we could just end our lease and move, but then got told by Sarah that we would have to give a 60 day notice (So til December 16) and then pay an additional months rent to break the lease, once again because they failed to create a safe living environment. We called the office today to get an updated the situation and Baraka was extremely short and unhelpful as she always appears to be when we call. Long story short, we have literally had to stay somewhere other than our own apartment home because we DON’T FEEL SAFE IN THIS COMPLEX. They don’t seem to genuinely care about the fact that our neighbors might legitimately do something to us. If we call on Monday and this complex refuses to do anything regarding this issue we will have to get the law involved to get us out of this nightmare.

At fortress grove, you not only live in a beautiful apartment, but there is a pond, playground and pool along with a beautiful courtyard to sit and socialize at. Staff and maintenance are awesome, and very helpful.

I have lived here for about a year and a half now and just renewed again. I love that it feels like a little community. People are always walking their dogs or feeding the ducks at the pond. The maintenance here is fantastic! I have never had any issue take more than a few hours to fix. Including a recent issue with my AC. The front office is always super nice and helpful. I could not be happier. It really is a great place to live!

There is a world of difference between this complex and the one I stayed at in Raleigh, NC - Apartments barely meet standards in my opinion. They can be older, but they need to be much cleaner for new occupant - why does not someone make sure that things are in working order before you move in?
Nice community, close to lots of stores, interstate and etc.

Listing price was not the price they offered me, Community is nice, Wish that my apartment would have been inspected right. Pay for pest control every month but yet I had to spray my apartment myself because of spiders that kept appearing

We’ve been plagued with issues from day one. From maintenance issues that they drag their feet to fix, to rude and incompetent maintenance staff, to literal rats in the walls that go unregulated. Everything in this apartment is cheap, though it’s made to look nice, and it’s falling apart. Parking here is HORRIBLE. Some nights I’ve had to park at the Sonic bordering our complex and walk several feet to get to my own apartment. Staff pretends they care about the issues but then does nothing about them. And for the price we’re paying, it hardly seems worth it. Way overpriced.

The staff of the apartment was very kind. I was very helpful. But, the apartment has insufficient parking. If I return late, I will necessary to look for parking for a long time.
When I moved into this place, it was the best in Murfreesboro and one of the best apartments I'd lived in. The office workers were friendly and they arranged regular neighborhood gatherings. But they've replaced most of their staff with uncaring, no-effort-making, boring, smug clones of every other poorly managed apartment complex. Pros: The amenities are nice: pool, pond, grill, playground. The neighborhood is good. And maintenance is quick. Cons: The parking is terrible; when all the spots are full, you're expected to waste several hours calling a courtesy officer at midnight or park in an illegal spot and get towed at the cost of $250+ to get your car back. The offices are seemingly closed more than they're open to show new residents around, they don't respond to emails & they're not knowledgeable when you have a question. You can't smoke in the apartments any more, so people sit in their pajamas on the sidewalk when they want to smoke. We pay for pest control, but only receive it on request. Everybody parks in front of the sidewalk to get their mail so everybody else has to walk through the rocks and backing out of parking spots near that area becomes troublesome. And the trash compactor breaks regularly with garbage piling up at the front of the neighborhood. But back to my real problem, they're only nice til you move in... then no effort or consideration is worth their attention. I'm moving out, so there will soon be a vacancy if this appeals to you.
