Sackets Harbor is a small village on Lake Ontario, nestled between Henderson and Black River Bay. As one of New York State’s Heritage Areas, there are multiple historical attractions and markers throughout town. Sackets Harbors was one a major hub of American naval and military activity, and most attractions such as the Sackets Harbor Battlefield center around this history. Engulfed in bayside beauty, residents take full advantage through watersports like sailing and windsurfing. You can find locals enjoying a delicious meal or cold beer at waterfront eateries and bars. Residents also love to spend their time at nearby beaches. Westcott Beach State Park is less than seven minutes away and is a great spot for camping and fishing. Sackets Harbor is active throughout the year, but during summertime, the town hosts concerts and festivals.

Property Ratings at Fort Pike Commons
Fort Pike Commons is the place to live in Jefferson County. I lived here for 3 years and so happy I did. It is walking distance from the downtown, which is great for both summer and winter. I worked in Watertown and the commute is only 15 minutes-and there is never traffic. We have a dog, and the back patio was amazing for us to have in order to let her out when she needed to go out. Also, they are right across the street from a HUGE open lawn where I would let my dog run around. In the winters the maintenance team is amazing. The parking lot is never a problem. The property manager, Bonnie, is great!
Testimonial from a Fort Pike Resident of 3 years- What do you most like about living in Fort Pike Commons? At first look, Fort Pike was appealing to me because of it's location. Sackets Harbor is a beautiful village right on Lake Ontario. The community is friendly and offers local churches, unique shopping and dining opportunities, etc. What do you like most about living in Fort Pike Commons? This is a tough question to answer, because truly, I like everything about living at Fort Pike Commons. I have lived in several different rental communities and situations in past years, and have found Fort Pike Commons to be superior to any other rental community I have experienced. Staff are friendly and responsive and really care about providing the best community for their tenants. Staff respond to calls immediately and there has never been an issue that has not been resolved quickly. The grounds are kept in pristine condition, as are the apartments, service is excellent and rent is a fair price at Fort Pike as compared to the facilities and service you receive in other rental properties in the area. Would you recommend living at Fort Pike Commons to others? I would absolutely recommend Fort Pike to others, and I have. Since Living at Fort Pike, my daughter and son-in-law have lived there, a co-worker, and I am trying to encourage my Nephew and his family to move here too.
