Property Ratings at Forest Park
Management sucks n hasn't been around since the last landlord who was an angel. Luckily we at least got a new maintenance man n he practically takes care of everything from keeping things clean n keeping the tenants happy when they need a manager here. I'm thankful there is someone here because otherwise the place has gone down in my book
Been living here for a little over 2 years and at first I really liked it here. But lately this place has taken a turn for the worse. I don't mind a few homeless people digging through trash and stuff like that, but I do mind when people are walking around the complex at night strung out on drugs. Additionally, they don't just keep to themselves. It's been one event after another. I've had random people straight up walk into my apartment on several different evenings. On top of that multiple cars have been broken into. We've told the landlord of every disturbance and while it is met with understanding we see absolutely no effort from Forest Park to keep its residence safe. Security cameras or even a single hired security patrol in the evening could do wonders for this place and really restore the feeling of home that this place once had. I will say that the fact that this place allows pets is a great feature and adds to the homey feel, but again, the random non resident strangers who walk around at night make it really uncomfortable to take you dog out to do their business. With rent prices also going up here for many of the residents, the reasons to stay are unfortunately lessening. Do not bother with this place, until they can guarantee a safe living space once again.
As a long-term resident(6 years), I have seen the complex change and evolve. I am very pleased with the current management and maintenance team, they have gone above and beyond to make me feel like they care! And amenities like the pool and being pet friendly, have kept me here all these years. If I move, it would be into a home I purchase, but until then, this is home!
