I got an energy Bill for over $600. I contacted consumers energy who had someone out right away and let me know if wasn't an issue on their end. I then put a maintenance request in through footehills in late July. They came and inspected the AC unit and replaced a part that was using triple the energy it should have been. My bill was normal immediately after the repair. I asked the office for a credit, since the maintenance man said the part is rarely tested during the move in/out inspections. The management team did not respond after many calls and 6-7 emails with what had happened, and my bill attached. Finally, I got a response in late October, 2.5 months later, that they were only covering $300. they suggested I should be happy with half since it was a "courtesy" credit and they typically don't credit for items breaking??? Apparently, this also means they don't take responsibility for items breaking before my move in date. I would suggest staying away from renting here. the office responds months later and makes you pay for their items breaking. All this on top of neighbors who were throwing trash off the balcony, blasting music, smoking in their apartment and in the hallway and leaving all the doors to the building open in the winter time. The apartments took months to get them out and only addressed the issues by putting flyers up in the hallway reminding people of the rules of the complex.

I have enjoyed living here overall. I like the pool that has been open for about a month now. The price in relation to everywhere else in Grand Rapids is pretty good. And the location is prime.

Foothill Apartments have a very friendly feel the people are so nice management as well anything that goes wrong gets right away and properly there's always somewhere to walk it's beautiful there's never any trash lots of people have dogs it's just like a really nice community the apartment is really good shape with new appliances and anytime anything's wrong they come right away it's just a great place to live they have a pool a fire pit a gym a sauna a gazebo a dog park lots and lots of amenities this is a good place to live if you're single if you're a couple just starting out if you have kids or if you are an empty nester and your kids are all gone it's just a great place to live

Beautiful wooded property, quiet, feel safe here. Maintenenance is prompt and thorough.Good access to Burton and 28th Streets for shopping convenience. Pleasant neighborhood for walking or running.

I have been here only a month so far but right away I've noticed how they take pride in the community the staff is super helpful and friendly my neighbors are great the amenities that they offer are well worth the price of rent all in all extremely happy that we moved in here hopefully as time goes on I will continue to be just as satisfied I definitely would say if you're looking for a new place to live in a safe clean friendly environment you should take the time to check out this community

Waste of time! Was given false information about several things. Price, unit, month for move in, etc. Communication was very poor. Called several times a week and left voicemails with no return call. Finally got through to someone after a MONTH of not hearing anything just to find out that the leasing assistant that was working with me was fired due to issues like these! It took me contacting corporate for someone on site to call me and help take care of the issue. They were not willing to. accommodate me. Was promised a full refund over a month ago and still have not received it. Been lied to way too many times. Very disappointed. Terrible customer service and terrible company.

This is a nice, quiet pet and family friendly community in a great location. We have been happy here for three years. There are a few things we would like to see improved related to landscaping and outdoors cleanliness, but overall there is not much to complain about.

Foote Hills Apartments is located in a quiet wooded area with easy access to 28th St., Burton St., and I 96. This makes traveling to parts of Grand Rapids quick and easy. It is also good for relaxation, walking, biking, dog walking, and shopping. Parking is good for residents. As the weather becomes warmer it is good for family walks and children playing.

We are new to Foote Hills & we have settled in nicely. The community is great. Its quiet, friendly & our townhome is exactly what we were looking for. One of the major pluses of living here is how Pet Friendly they are. Its nice how welcoming they are to their residents, as well as their furbabies.

We love the location and the quiet, dog friendly community. The townhomes are small, but perfect for 2 people on a budget. We have had quite a bit of issues with things not working and bugs in the past 3 years, but maintenance is very quick to respond. Overall, we have been very happy here.

Its always clean and quiet. The staff is friendly and flexible. They do the things they say they will do and thats all you can ask for.
If you don’t like the smell of smoke and marijuana, you better hope your neighbors don’t smoke. You can easily smell tobacco smoke or weed through the walls of your apartment if your neighbors smell.

Per our previous conversations, residents may use tobacco in their apartment homes, but are not permitted to smoke in community communal areas. Though there have been changes in Michigan law regarding the use of marijuana, our community policies follow Federal law, which prohibits the use of marijuana on community grounds.
