Property Ratings at Farms at Moncks Corner
This place raised the rent a week before rent was due and gave the option to vacate or extend stay or stay on a month to month basis. We chose to vacate and then they charged us for another months rent and a late fee even though we didn’t owe them that money and so they deduced all that money from our deposit and gave us only a fraction of our deposit back and kept the rest of it for themselves. We also got lied to that this place was remodeled when we entered. The place was filthy and smelled like fungus and took so long to air out. We didn’t have hot water for the first week and we had ac water leak for over a month. Having to mop the kitchen floor every day. The kitchen is old and crappy. Especially with rent increase it’s not worth it. It never was.
The door seals have long been needing to be replaced by at least a decade or two. The single plane windows are only installed and not sealed leaving small gaps for just about anything to crawl around; furthermore, the frame holding the window in place has a 0.5" x 28" gap beneath it. The #1 struggle the landlord has about keeping tenants is probably from all the bugs running in around the rainy season, I've seen apartments go through two to three new tenants in a month. As for what the prices says online is only the rent and doesn't include all the additional fees they are throwing on to you. There's about an additional $80-$100 by the time it's all said and done. These apartments are not Cable Ready, so if you want internet service, you are going to be paying for Hotspot. Finally, I never use the outdoor storage room because the door doesn't stay shut even if locked.
