Property Ratings at Farmington View Apartments - Farmington Hills, MI
The communication between LR management and being a tenant is nonexistent. I have dealt with flooding issues in my laundry room that have yet been resolved due to maintenance not coming out to look at it or clean the mess. I’ve spent extra money on cleaning products to clean the floors after 3 floods. When I didn’t have heat in my apartment it took them a week to say they were coming out to not even show up and then it took me 3 calls to emergency maintenance to get someone out to fix it. Then when they updated their contacting systems the only way they told residents was with a piece of paper they put at the foot of everyone’s door. The communication has been terrible it is always impossible for me to reach someone by call or email. The sub level floors windows are disgusting and are impossible to open. It has been a terrible experience living in the complex and I highly don’t recommend it.
I moved into this apartment building because i had a short time frame and it was the first available for me to move in. I was told the apartment was newly renovated when i moved in. Since then I have had a flood of almost my entire until, leaks in the bedroom closet and on one of the bedroom walls, and a massive leak in the corner of my living room. The basement apartments for this entire complex are very bad. Water leaking almost at all times from somewhere. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s mold in my unit. I don’t recommend a basement unit in this complex, and most likely wouldn’t recommend any unit either.
I’ve lived her since March 15, 2017. The apartment on the inside looks amazing but once you move in you begin to realize that everything is cosmetic. The buildings are extremely old and in need of serious repairs, there is a random leak from my bathroom vent that happens periodically as a result. Aside from some maintenance to the buildings, the parking lot is destroyed. There are pot hole throughout the complex some of which are several inches deep and at least 4 feet wide. The last issue is the pet policy. This complex allows any dog breed because of this majority of the complex is filled with aggressive dog breeds. Just last week someone was bit by a neighbors dog in front of my building. I cannot allow my daughter to play outside because I’m afraid that she will be attached by a neighbor’s dog. I am looking for a new place to live. The constant maintenance, continued neglect of the property, and the lack of safety are too much. This place is pretty bad. Pay a little extra and just go down the street. You’ll be glad you did.
