Property Ratings at Fairway
The stomping noise from the neighbor upstairs is driving me crazy. It's not just a sound; it's a vibration that shakes the room, causing me to wake up several times after midnight. I even bought low-frequency earplugs, but the noise is beyond what they can block out. I've reported it to the office several times. Although the staff there are nice, they either cannot or do not resolve this problem. They simply say there's no solution. I should have listened to my friend's advice, who moved out because of the same issue. If you value your quality sleep, this is definitely not the apartment you want.
Water falls from the roof in bathroom. The problem has been reported to maintenance for 40 days. No even a little improvement on it.
It seems nice at first, but it’s not. Walls and floors are unbelievably thin. I hear everything around me, all the time. Even on the top floor I can hear people below me just walking around their apartment normally. College kids have pool parties until 3am screaming and blasting music. Not really “quiet luxury” at all. There have been 3 different managers in the six months I’ve lived here. They just quit out of the blue and leave residents with no management. Water has been turned off because they “forgot to pay” the bill. Trash hasn’t been picked up in 3 weeks. Maintenance requests go unresolved for weeks on end. When maintenance does come by, they don’t fix the problem. I was told that my AC’s constant dripping noise was normal and I just had to deal with it. My toilet has been broken for a week and no one has come to fix it. The cleaning company and painters they hire work starting at 12-1am and blast music, stomp around, and vacuum until early hours of the morning. They’ve done some updates, but it’s easy to see that it’s shoddy cosmetic work. The cabinets are crooked and peeling, drywall screws are poking through the ceiling paint, there’s wood planks keeping the cabinets level and dishwasher stable, and the old aluminum windows have absolutely no seal against outside weather. I probably wouldn’t have rented here had I known this would be my experience. I’m unbelievably disappointed.
I lived in the Fairway Apartments for 3 years and had a wonderful experience. The apartments are very nice with plenty of closet and floor space. I had very few maintenance issues (maybe 3 in the three years I had been there), but when I did, the maintenance workers had always fixed the issue quickly. Management is so friendly and ready to help you in any way possible. Pet-friendly, a lovely pool space, and a useful fitness center. I would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone!
The Fairway Apartments were very quiet, convenient (even by bus and to Purdue), and walking distance to Walmart and many other stores. We had very few maintenance issues but each request was addressed very quickly, seems like it was only hours for each request... The apartment was clean at move in and the management hurried to get us into the apartment earlier as we had been staying at a local hotel upon moving to West Lafayette. Upon leaving we were charged our damage deposit for accidental damage we had caused -- but the management was always fair, reasonable, friendly, professional and timely. If our plans changed and we were to return to the area, we would go back to the Fairway Apartments.
I have lived at The Fairway for over 5 years while my work brought me to Lafayette. I have seen the property go through several changes in management and without question the current property managers have been the best. They have made many long needed improvements, they are responsive to your concerns and are easy to work with. The property is clean, safe, quiet and well maintained. If I were to continue to work in the area I would continue to live there without hesitation.
I have lived here a year and just signed a new lease for this fall. I have had a wonderful experience with the staff, they are friendly and quick to respond. I was new to the area and wasn't sure what to expect, it is safe and very quiet. I have a small dog, and we use their pet area a lot. I also take the bus, which is always on time, just out front of the property. Everything has made my move this past year a good experience. I would recommend anyone to The Fairway!
I lived at The Fairway for a year and it was by far, the best complex I've lived in Lafayette/West Lafayette. Great price for the location and such large, open rooms. The community was nice and quiet as well. Less than a five minute drive to Purdue. And the celery bog/park is a short 20 minute walk away as well. Management was excellent as well. Whenever we had a maintenance issue, it was handled quickly and efficiently. If I ever moved back to the area, it would be here.
it was so great to live fairway because they have a perfect house maintenance services and the office manager who are nice and helpful all the time! The best thing to do is swimming in the summer and they are working really hate to clean the pool and make it really nice and welcome everybody here to play and make comfortable!
