Nestled at the confluence of the Hudson and Harlem Rivers is the pretty and green Spuyten Duyvil. Hilly and full of parks and tree-lined streets, Spuyten Duyvil is situated in the northwest corner of the Bronx and known to some as South Riverdale. Spuyten Duyvil contains plenty of co-op apartments along with some condominiums and single-family homes. The best known co-op apartment is the Villa Charlotte Bronte, which resembles a vine-covered castle overlooking the Hudson River.

Spuyten Duyvil maintains a suburban feel despite being a short train ride from Manhattan. A local branch of the New York Public Library and numerous parks inhabit the scenic neighborhood.
