Montgomery is one of the fastest-growing communities in Illinois for good reason. Located along the Fox River on the south side of Aurora and about 12 miles west of Naperville, Montgomery provides a beautiful, tree-filled village near terrific destinations like Aurora University, Paramount Theatre, Chicago Premium Outlets, Fox Valley Mall, and North Central College. And with Chicago less than an hour east, Montgomery's location is perfect for commuters or for weekend adventures in the Windy City.
With a variety of parks and bike paths (such as the Fox River Trail), Montgomery has ample green space for picnics and hiking. The Fox River, as well as several lakes and ponds throughout the village, provide terrific opportunities for fishing. Settler's Cottage Museum is a fun way to learn more about the history of the area. The cottage is the oldest building in the village, dating back to the 1840s.
