Viviendo en White Eagle Club

Historia

-

The two cities that encompass the neighborhood both have interesting histories and impressive accolades. Naperville was founded in 1831 by Joseph Naper when he and his family settled there. Aurora was an Indian reservation originally, but it was re-founded in 1834 by the McCarty brothers after the Black Hawk War ended. Both cities grew tremendously after the war and the railroad industry took off. Today, the cities rank as the fifth and second largest in the state of Illinois.

Both cities also have great museums and music venues near White Eagle Club. Wentz Concert Hall and Pfeiffer Hall Performing Arts Theatre have live performances and concerts in Naperville, and Aurora has the Historical Society of Aurora Museum and the Phillips Park Zoo. The Naperville Park District has plenty of annual events as well, including many different types of charity walks and runs, and huge holiday parades for St. Patrick’s Day and Thanksgiving.

For those looking for an authentic Mexican meal and atmosphere, give local favorite Rito's Restaurant a try. Rito's starts you off with zesty chips and salsa, and offers classic Mexican dishes including tacos, empanadas, enchiladas and burritos. Its renowned flaming margarita sets Rito's apart and makes it a must-visit.

For Asian cuisine, look no further than Golden Sea Chop Suey. The restaurant has amazing Chinese decor and has all of your favorite Chinese dishes, such as Mongolian beef, orange chicken and sesame chicken. Its famous egg rolls and pork fried rice are the favorite menu items around town and what will keep you coming back for more. Golden Sea Chop Suey's daily afternoon specials make a great option when you want to grab a quick meal during your lunch hour.

An AMC is nearby if you want to catch a movie. For live performances, the Paramount Theatre in downtown Aurora shows music, plays and stand-up comedy. If you prefer to spend your weekend nights at a local watering hole, The Town Bar has great food, beer specials, patio dining and free poker night every Thursday. Whenever you need to dance the night away, head to the Saddle Up Saloon & Dancehall. WGN News 9 recommends the Western-themed atmosphere and Tex-Mex food. Feel free to bring the kids.
