Viviendo en Village O

Historia

-

Village O lies within San Marcos, which got its name from the San Marcos Land Company. The company purchased the land that became San Marcos in 1887, but the town remained a small farming community until 1956. The population increased quickly that year as the town obtained water from the Colorado River. San Marcos became incorporated as a city in 1963 and since then has seen consistent growth in both population and industry.

San Marcos has one museum and a couple art galleries all found outside of Village O. The neighborhood doesn't have any annual events, but the city has several, including San Marcos Alive at the San Marcos Civic Center. Only a short drive north, the event features fine art, hands-on projects and live entertainment.
