Viviendo en Sunrise Manor

Historia

-

Sunrise Manor is an unincorporated town that was formed in May of 1957 in North Las Vegas, an incorporated city that was first purchased and developed in the early 1900s. A Utah man named Tom Williams first discovered the area during a trip to Las Vegas. Unimpressed with the busy and energetic atmosphere of the newly incorporated Las Vegas, Williams ventured north and became enamored with the vast open spaces and potential for lucrative agriculture.

Tom purchased 160 acres of land and subdivided the area into 100 lots, selling each lot at $10 in 1919. In 1924, the town's first grocery store and post office were built. North Las Vegas was officially incorporated in 1946 and is home to the Neon Art Museum and the Las Vegas Natural History Museum, known for its Egyptian antiquities displays and annual Native American cultural events.
