The Richmond-Rosenberg area was established in the early 1800s, when Fort Bend County was established. As time progressed, the areas grew together as development happened. The railroad was a major source of income as it made trading easier. These areas were a major source of agriculture until oil was discovered. The Rosenberg Railroad Museum has historical artifacts for Fort Bend County, not just railroad information. The museum hosts exhibits and projects for all ages. Annually, it hosts a Fall Fun Fest and Rail Fest where there is live entertainment and fun for everyone.

Local residents have access to a diverse set of restaurants, from international eateries to popular chains. Another Time Soda Fountain takes you back a few decades with its emphasis on the 1950s.
