Viviendo en Highland Meadows

Historia

-

Highland Meadows gained its unique identity in 2006 from the substantial Lake Highlands community. Street names, such as Rolling Rock, Meadowcliff, Longmeadow, Hayfield and Quail Run, reflect the past period of spacious cattle-inhabited fields. Transformation in the area began with the development of subdivisions in the 1950’s. A variety of architectural styles highlight periods of growth throughout the years.

Residents maintain the culture of Highland Meadows. Church groups as well as the Highland Meadows Neighborhood Association help improve the community through volunteerism, charity and environmental outreach. The association’s online message boards and newsletters keep residents informed of local news and activities.

Garage sales, garden shows and pet-themed events pop up frequently in the summer. While museums and art galleries may be missing locally, just outside the community lie the Museum of Biblical Art and Meadows Museum. The Meadows Museum, located in Southern Methodist University, features Spanish Masters from the 15th century.
