Viviendo en Gould Park

Historia

-

Built in the 1980 and 1990s for the most part, homes in Gould Park have an established but modern feel. When the boundary of Blendon Woods Park was established, Gould Park could be built even more enthusiastically; however, residents have worked hard to prevent the neighborhood from becoming overdeveloped. People living here love the natural feel, which has been maintained since its start.

If you love art and wine, you never feel too far from either with Wyandotte Winery's seasonal festivities. Support local artists as you sip on a glass of unoaked Chardonnay.

Restaurantes y Bares

-

Purposefully set back away from commercial zones, Gould still sits only minutes from restaurants. Head down Cherry Bottom Road towards Morse Road for the closest concentration of places to eat. Whether you love to try new, ethnic dishes or feel like eating typical home-cooked American dishes, you can find something to satisfy your cravings.

If you like breakfast food, you have to love Super Chef’s Breakfast and More. It serves up creative takes on traditional favorites all day long, so you can have breakfast for lunch and even dinner at Super Chef's. If you like red velvet cake, try the fluffy and not overly sweet red velvet waffles. For an even more filling meal, have them as a breakfast sandwich in the restaurant's specialty, the juggernaut, which includes eggs and Canadian bacon. Even a simple grilled cheese here tastes gourmet, yet prices are affordable.

Feeling like something a bit healthier? Try It’s All Natural for vegetarian specialties that are not just natural but also flavorful and fresh. Head there in the evening on the way home from work to pick up a simple dinner to go for the whole family. It’s All Natural also has a market for organic and natural products, so make sure to look around while you stop in. With a selection of the most difficult to find natural brands in Columbus, the store ensures you inevitable go home with a good haul.

While options for food seem unlimited, nightlife here is not as important. With a quiet family-friendly feel, Gould Park has few bars and no nearby clubs. Residents tend to go in town for a night out, comfortable knowing that they can return to a simple night at home if they wish. However, if you just want a quick beer, stop by the local Buffalo Wild Wings for a cold draft. The local Wyandotte Winery also has later nights certain evenings for tastings when you want a classy, relaxed night with friends. Head there on Fridays to sip its wine made on-site while listing to live music. Wednesday nights make a great option, as well, with half-price glasses of wine.

Transporte

-

Most people in Gould Park drive in and around the city. With easy access to both I-270 and Highway 161, residents have relatively short commutes. Thanks to ample free parking, residents do not have to worry about finding parking for their cars. If you need a ride, you can call a taxi or Uber. Be sure to reserve ahead of time, as waits otherwise can be a bit longer than in the city.

Using public transit poses some difficulties to the residents of Gould Park, as most buses do not reach past Gahanna. This means that residents must walk a bit. While traffic tends not to get too busy, limited access to sidewalk can make it dangerous to walk at night and during commuting hours. Cycling similarly should be done with caution, due to the lack of bike lanes.

Since this park contains several dedicated playspaces and a disc golf field, children will love this park as well. Cherry Bottom Park provides similar amenities for children, as well as a formal playground. Filling with children on the weekends, Cherry Bottom Park has spaces families love, including picnic areas where you can relax together.
