Due to the Golden Triangle being so close to LoDo, this is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Denver. Between 1904 and 1919, the neighborhood went through a revitalization because of Mayor Robert Speer's vision for the Civic Center area. He added many neoclassic parks and civic institutions, giving this area a unique feel.

When the Central Library moved into this neighborhood in the 1990s, the area saw a surge in interest. New apartments and condominiums were built to accommodate the new growth in the city. Many of the old garages and supply stores were bought, renovated and transformed into new art galleries, coffee shops, offices and restaurants.

When Carmelo Anthony played basketball for the NBA's Denver Nuggets, he lived in the Prado Building, where the televisions show MTV Cribs featured a tour of his penthouse.

Anyone looking to enjoy some art should look no further than the Denver Art Museum, which is one of the largest art museums between California and Chicago. It offers free general admission on the first Saturday of every month. It showcases one of the biggest collections of American Indian art and also displays more than 68,000 other works from across the world.

Although downtown Denver receives most of the attention in regards to restaurants and nightlife, the Golden Triangle neighborhood has its own treasures that residents have come to know well.

Your taste buds can take a journey at Cuba Cuba. Most people walk right by this restaurant since it has the outer appearance of a house, but inside is one of the most authentic Cuban food experiences in Denver. It also has a long-standing reputation of being the best mojito bar in the city. When you go, make sure to try the Vaca Frita, which is their signature mojo marinated flank steak.

Fresh food lovers immediately fall in love with Parsley and Bailey in this neighborhood. Much of the food offered in this restaurant is organic, and it comes through in their food selection. The caprese sandwich with a side of carrot curry soup will have you coming back again.

Despite the smaller population, the nightlife of Golden Triangle keeps residents active and engaged rather than bouncing at the big-city nightclubs. All kinds of nighttime entertainment can be found at the City Hall venue along Broadway, from fashion shows and electronic music to art shows and stand up comedians. For something a little more interactive, spice up your evenings at La Rumba. The Latin night club features regular dancing, salsa lessons and a lively atmosphere.

This adorable neighborhood is predominately a walking or biking neighborhood. All along its western border is the Cherry Creek Trail, which is a 40-mile route all through Denver continuing on down south. Walking or biking along this paved path could quickly get you to Auraria Campus or Cherry Creek.

Denver has an impressive amount of options for public transportation. Between the bus, light rail, skyride, Park-n-Ride, free mallride, various taxi companies, Lyft and Uber, there are endless ways to get around the area.

The local bus provides more than 140 bus routes with 10,000 bus stops. The light rail offers 35 miles of service, and the metro area features more than 70 Park-n-Rides, where you can park your vehicle and catch the bus or light rail. There is a central light rail station at Auraria Campus, the main college campus in the area. Considering downtown Denver is so close, there are an abundance of options for transportation from this neighborhood. Every street also offers metered parking spaces for anyone looking to stop by for just a short time.

All along the western side of this neighborhood is Speer Boulevard, which is a main road for people to get north or south of the city. Broadway is also another option for anyone needing to get into the heart of downtown or south to the city of Littleton.

The only park in this neighborhood is Civic Center Park located between the Colorado State Capitol and Denver's City and County Building. However, this is less of a kid-friendly park and much more of an urban park with no playgrounds or dog parks on its grounds.

During Labor Day weekend there is also the Taste of Colorado, which is a free four-day outdoor festival right in the heart of Civic Center Park. Every year major entertainment artists perform at this event. Some of the favorite Colorado food establishments set up booths and serve appetizers, entrées and deserts

During the holiday season each year and for other national celebrations, Denver's City and County features a fantastic light display.

Many of the apartments in the Golden Triangle neighborhood are upscale, making the average price for a one bedroom around $1,400. The average condominium price in this neighborhood is $450,000.

The cost of living in this neighborhood compares equally to the LoDo neighborhood, but it is more expensive on average than the Capitol Hill neighborhood.

While there are no major shopping areas, there are a few boutique stores throughout the Golden Triangle neighborhood. Wardrobe Works is one of the small consignment clothing boutiques in the area.

There are quite a few furniture and design stores in this neighborhood, such as Denver City Furniture. This establishment keeps a great customer service staff that can help you find the exact piece of furniture you need. Keep a look out for any sales, especially when the store offers free delivery.

One block outside this neighborhood to the West is a King Soopers, available for all your grocery needs. You can find additional locations of this small chain around the Denver area.

The Denver Art Museum does have a unique store in its main lobby for anyone looking to add a splash of art to their collection. For people living in this neighborhood there is also a central Post Office available.
