Beginning in 1977, the area north of Sawbury Road began residential development in three initial phases. Foxboro was officially settled following the completion of a fourth phase in 1980 that developed the southern homes and streets into the Outerbelt.

During this final period, the Foxboro Village Civic Association was founded and continues to raise the neighborhood worth and provide community neighborhood activities throughout the year. The area does not feature a local arts center or museum, though many are available in nearby neighborhoods throughout Dublin and Columbus.
