One Central Park

Living in Manhattan can be a trade-off: the excitement of the city comes with a certain level of agita. That’s especially true when home is above a busy area like Columbus Circle, such as the 80-story tower One Central Park. “New York is the most magical city in the world, but it takes a toll on your nervous system,” says Danielle Lurie of The Jane Advisory, a team at Compass. “Arriving home at One Central Park lifts you out of the chaos of New York. To have a sanctuary above such a high-density part of the city is special.” The staff is also a huge part of what makes the building a true home to its residents, according to Lurie, whose family owned a unit there for many years and who lived in the building during the pandemic. “Some of the staff have been there since the building opened in 2004. Because the staff knows everybody and also knows the building so intimately, they can really be of help and of service.”
