Nestled immediately north of Downtown Jacksonville, Springfield is a historic neighborhood with the charm of Old Florida. Springfield’s tree-lined streets are decorated with public art and lined with restored 20th century mansions, trendy eateries, local boutiques, and hip breweries. Visitors and residents alike flock to events held in town like the Jacksonville Porchfest and the Springfield Tour of Homes. While the city allows for easy car travel thanks to its proximity to Highway 1 and Interstate 95, the preferred method for in-town travel is by bike. Several trails like the S-Line Urban Greenway connect residents to different parts of the city including the picturesque parks surrounding Hogans Creek, the town’s western border. Additional outdoor recreation is available less than five minutes away from town along the Saint Johns River.
