Adams Jefferson Apartments

Also known as Midtown, Monroe Ward is a historic neighborhood located in Downtown Richmond. Monroe Ward is home to the famed Jefferson Hotel and several academic buildings for Virginia Commonwealth University, which is located directly west of the neighborhood. The neighborhood is known for its historic architectural styles including Greek Revival and Queen Anne, but there are modern options available as well, including studios and high-rise apartments.

Along with a heap of restaurants, galleries, and bars, Monroe Ward provides residents with easy access to a long list of museums and attractions including the Black History Museum and Cultural Center, the Science Museum of Virginia, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, and more. Head south of the neighborhood to Gambles Hill Park or Brown’s Island, a popular spot for concerts, festivals, and water activities like kayaking and swimming.
