Grassy area and benches for picnic-ing, Frisbee-playing, etc. Paved area with ample parking for boat trailers. The Rail Trail starts here and ends in Augusta, 6-7 miles north. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, ATM and grocery store.” There are always great day activities going on in this area such as the Art Walks and the Kennebec River Whatever Race to mention a couple. Gardiner is truly the Gateway to our capital, Augusta, making this a wonderful location for working commuters with an even closer proximity to Farmingdale and Hallowell. Gardiner has two I-95 exits. One that is easily accessible for Portland commuters and the other for Augusta/Waterville commuters.
