This beautiful and spacious New York Style luxury living loft (1650 square feet) has two large carpeted bedrooms with large closets and attached full bathrooms. The bathrooms have ceramic tile walls and floors. The entry foyer leads into the great room with 16' high ceilings, wide plank oak floors, two period style ceiling fans, exposed brick and wood beams and lots of windows facing north and west. Near the foyer there is an additional large closet and a laundry room with stacked washer/dryer. The large open modern fully equipped kitchen has plenty of counter and cabinet space and a ceramic tile floor. On the upper landing there is an open space that is typically used as an office space. The mechanical room has some additional storage space. The loft is efficiently heated and cooled with a new central HVAC system. The free parking lot at the rear of the building allows for two vehicles per loft and there is always free street parking on High Street. The property has security cameras at the front and rear of the building. The High St. front entry gate is controlled by a video/audio intercom system within the loft. In 2017 the courtyard stairway was renovated and now features thermostat controlled heat elements in the steps and landing to prevent snow and ice accumulation. This historic building built in 1901 was completely restored in 2004 and was featured twice in the Home Section of the Virginia-Pilot newspaper. LOCATION: Conveniently located between the downtown, midtown tunnels and the new Jordan Bridge all connecting to Norfolk and other surrounding cities. It's a short walk to the Porsmouth Naval Hospital and all the restaurants, bars, museums, marinas and other entertainment in Old Town, plus the ferry to Norfolk and Harbor Park home to the Norfolk Tides AAA baseball team. If you are in the military it's about a 5 minute drive to the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and a 10 minute drive to the Cedar Rd. Coast Guard Station TERMS: 1 year minimum lease; No Smoking Space, No Section 8, Utilities are not included but should run about $175+ per month.
