In addition, this beautiful NW style home has been designed with easy access for someone with mobility challenges, providing an optional ramp access from the 3 car garage to the front door. There are no interior steps on the main floor, which has flat thresholds & wide doorways. The beach is accessed by a paved & gravel path from the house to the waterfront, also eliminating the need for steps. Near the end of a dead-end road, and set down below the parking area, this property is exceptionally private & peaceful, even though it is less than 1 mile from the Burnam Dr. W Exit on Highway 16 & minutes from major shopping, schools, the Y, St. Anthony's Hospital & downtown Gig Harbor. An easy 20 minute commute to Tacoma, 30 minutes to Bremerton & 60 minutes to Seattle, Gig Harbor offers a maritime village atmosphere, surrounded by woodlands, islands & the beautiful iinlets of Puget Sound. The house will only be rented furnished. There is room for a tenant to add extra furniture to the living areas & ample storage is available. All utilities are paid by the owne, including internet. Tenants can arrange to hook-up to cable & a personal account. The tenant has exclusive use of the 3-car garage. The owner will retain the storage area beneath this garage, as well as the other detached ugarge. The waterfront dock must be raised out of the water for the winter and lowered in the summer, so tenant & owner aagree to communicate & cooperate on this maintenance issue. The boathouse is currently used for storage. The owner will leave some supplies there and share the space with the tenant. The security deposit of $3,000., is refundable to the tenant after completion of the check-out inspection & in accordance with stipulations & requirements in RCW59.18.280. The tenant is to pay the screening fees for background check and credit score after preliminary approval of the application.
