Although only an hour and a half East of Manhattan, you escape into a different tranquil world! Why work from the City, when you can work in wine country, right by the beach. Short distance to the Jitney bus stop, restaurants and grocery store. Cottage has just been refurbished and features a newly renovated bathroom with glass enclosed shower with Grohe fixtures, chef’s kitchen equipped with appliances and lovely new quartz counters. Interior has just been painted white and bright. Floors have been refinished, as has been the porch deck. Cottage is compact, but very comfortable, charming and well equipped. Very large yard area expands living space with dining and additional sitting to enjoy lovely North Fork evenings. The Kitchen is eat-in and accommodates a large dining room table. Central air conditioner/heaters on walls control temperature. Regarding Location - Our cottage is just about a quarter of a mile from the beach, a few blocks away from restaurants and groceries and bagels. We are also just a few blocks walk from the Hampton Jitney bus stop, for those traveling without a car. Within a quarter mile, you will also find yourself on Mattituck’s very quaint Love Lane, home to a fabulous cheese shop, a few restaurants, a great market, a winery tasting room, the local post office and various shops. There are 40+ wineries on the North Fork, we are within a five to ten minute drive to the majority of them and are happy to give you a list of our personal favorites! The North Fork is beautiful year round. Autumn is upon us with harvest related events at the local wineries, apple picking, pumpkin picking and Harbes famous roasted corn. September and October are peak season on the North Fork! Winter is serene and peaceful. Spring and Summer really wonderful...so many beaches to visit, wines to taste and restaurants to sample. A lot to love here! Beautiful North Shore Vineyard area. Near Route 25 -- near wineries, fresh farm vegetable stands, pick your own orchards, Tanger shopping mall, restaurants, etc. Near boutique-style specialty food shops and restaurants on Love Lane, a one-block stretch in Mattituck that features a cheese shop, a knitting store and the always-busy Love Lane Kitchen, where you can get a bowl of steel-cut oatmeal for $8. * Prices and availability subject to change without notice. * Square footage definitions vary.
