The beaches at this location are the widest and have panoramic views of the gulf to the North-West-and-South and are the top spot in North America for viewing sunsets. You can swim or often wade to Sand Dollar Island, a naturally occurring white sand cay popular with dolphin\'s sand-dollars and occasionally giant-conch. The water is shallow clear and calm with white quartz-sand tide-pools perfect for sleeping drinking or playing. This is the only spot on Siesta where you can go from the water to lunch or dinner and back to the sand without putting on your shirt and shoes.
