Red Wing encompasses a vast swatch of land made up of breathtaking bluffs, riverfront views, vibrant cityscapes, and endless outdoor activities. It’s a relatively small city, with population estimates of around 16,000, it’s an intimate town that has plenty to do.

Famous for the brand of boots with the same name, Red Wing provides amazing vantage points to some of the most varied scenery in the area. Mountainous bluffs overlook the winding river, and charming, colorful homes inhabit the downtown area and waterfront residential spaces.

Grab a bite to eat at Randy’s or Staghead, then catch a show at Cinema 8. Take a stroll through Downtown Red Wing and appreciate some of the Victorian architecture and locally-owned boutiques. It’s clear that outdoorsy types will love Red Wing, but it also caters to families with a network of highly-rated schools. Minneapolis is just over an hour away via U.S. 61, but Red Wing’s unbeatable views might make leaving tough.
