Located about 50 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, Uniontown was founded the same day as the United States Declaration of Independence was ratified. The Historic National Road Corridor runs through Uniontown, leading to the sites of some of the nation’s most important political revolutions. Known as America’s Road to Revolution, the National Road hosted the start of the French and Indian War, the Whiskey Rebellion, and where the Constitution faced its first challenge.

Rooted in such rich history, Uniontown exudes a pervasive small-town charm with its plentiful antique stores, museums, and unique shops. Uniontown boasts a vibrant Main Street Corridor equipped with a wide variety of restaurants, bars, local businesses, and the State Theatre Center for the Arts. Among the many attractions convenient to Uniontown are the Searight’s Tollhouse, Fort Necessity National Battlefield, Laurel Caverns Geological Park, and Ohiopyle State Park.
