My bi-level apartment, located at 3rd and South St. South Street, is an amazing neighborhood with plenty of restaurants, fun activities, and parks nearby! Walking distance from Old City, Penn's Landing, and Center City. The apartment is available for sublet for the Spring semester (January through May) with the option of a Summer extension/sublet (July and August). The start and end dates are flexible. The apartment has a large living room on the first floor and the spacious bedroom is located on the second floor. There's central heat and air and also a window ac unit in the bedroom. There’s an exercise bike in the bedroom. You will pay the gas and electric. Monthly water and the wifi is included in the rent. The electric bill is usually $20-25. The laundry mat is in walking distance, less than 2 blocks away. There's two tenants on the second floor who are both friendly and quiet. The first floor is a quiet storefront with a great owner who is very helpful. To apply, contact me and I'll connect you with the property management company who requires a $50.00 application fee to run a credit and background check and a copy of state issued Photo ID or passport. With its brick-paved sidewalks, cobblestone alleyways, and gorgeous historic architecture, Society Hill is one of Philadelphia's oldest and most sought-after neighborhoods. The name is slightly misleading -- it isn't on a hill and it has nothing to do with social standing. Instead, the name is derived from the original settlers, a group of Free Society of Traders who received land from William Penn back in 1682. They planted a flag on a small hill in the neighborhood, and the area quickly became known as the "Society's Hill."

Society Hill contains a variety of spectacular buildings, some dating to its original settlement. The neighborhood was diverse, even back in the 1700s, with small row houses sitting next to mansions. One of those mansions, the Physick House, built in 1786, is one of the neighborhood's last surviving Federal-style mansions. Today, it is a house museum that offers public tours. Other historic landmarks in Society Hill include Old St.
