Casey Key is a small,narrow barrier island that provides privacy,quiet,and an abundance of wildlife. Dolphins,manatees and tarpon migrate offshore. Osprey and pelicans put on a show soaring and diving for fish. Ibis,egrets and sandpipers are just a few of the species that scamper and feed in the shoreline. The tides will wash up mounds of seashells,as well as prehistoric shark teeth. Although there isn't a dock,there's room for a boat trailer with public launches to the north and south,both approximately 3 miles away. Monthly rentals have priority,but will consider weekly rentals. One week rate: $5,000; two-week rate: $8,250; three-week rate: $11,000. Rentals of less than six months are subject to 13% tax.
