It is registered on the National Register of Historic Places as well as receiving the Historic Preservation Award by Maury County's Historical Society. Pleasant. It has a private front and backyard with private parking in the back. It has central heat and air and is located in the heart of downtown in walking distance to restaurants and shopping. According to the National Registry of Historic Places, the building was erected circa 1819 and is the oldest surviving structure in Mt. Pleasant. It was known for being the Breckenridge Hatter’s Shop built by Ebenezor Smith and then deeded to his son in 1824. It has its original poplar flooring, chimney/fireplace (now converted to gas) and a large loft/bedroom upstairs that occupies the entire floor. The main floor consists of 2 rooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom. Despite its few interior alterations, it retains its historic and architectural integrity. Historic downtown Mount Pleasant is located about 10 miles south of Columbia in Maury County and an hour from Nashville. The City is a Main Street America community with revitalization efforts underway. It has numerous historic commercial and residential buildings with a town square and beautiful architecture. Mt. Pleasant is a great location just minutes away from Columbia without the higher rent prices of Spring Hill, Columbia or Nashville. It’s an ideal location to call home, live or work in the historic district and be right on Main Street near town square at a very affordable price. ?A credit check and background check will be conducted on applicants.
