Clyde Brand purchased part of the original John Rogers farm and constructed this three-story brick building to house his plumbing company and the Brand Apartments in 1924. Clyde and his wife owned the building until the 1960s. After Clyde’s death, Flora rented the building to various businesses. During WWII, the Brand’s rented the building to the U.S. War Price and Rationing Board. In the 1950s, the building housed Morgantown Water Commission. Wilson's book store and Genensis photography shop have also been housed by the Brand Building. This building is now home to Andrew White Guitars. make sure to stop by and check them out! ATTRACTIONS: - The Rail Trail, a member of the Rails to Trails Hall of Fame, can be accessed just a few hundred yards behind the building making access to miles and miles of walking and bike trails incredibly convenient. - The newly remodeled Ruby McQuain amphetheatre is also just a few minutes walk, maybe 2 -3 minutes, where they enjoy regular live conerts, and holiday celebrations such as 4th of july. - Main Street Morgantown also host a monthly Arts Walk downtown to celebrate local artists and downtown businesses.
