On the southwest side of the neighborhood, Damon Lane Park is a tree-filled oasis complete with a creek and trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding.
Rancho San Diego is primarily a residential neighborhood, but there are several shopping plazas and a few restaurants along Campo Road.
