Just across the Willamette River to the east of Downtown Portland, Hosford-Abernethy is a charming urban locale that is one of the city’s most popular neighborhoods. This historic neighborhood encompasses several microneighborhoods including Ladd’s Addition, one of Portland’s – and the nation’s – oldest residential areas. Hosford-Abernethy’s microneighborhoods contribute to the area’s strong sense of community. Hosford-Abernethy is known for its beautiful early 20th-century architectural styles but there are modern apartments available for rent as well.
