In northern New York state off of Lake Ontario lies the city of Watertown. This affordable suburb is home to many substantial attractions such as the New York State Zoo at Historic Thompson Park. Spanning across 32 acres, the NYS Zoo houses a variety of native animals and is a great family-friendly location in Watertown. Downtown Watertown encompasses Public Square, the central plaza complete with a fountain, surrounded by restored buildings and diverse eateries.

Property Ratings at Emerald Acres II
Interior of units are clean so that is a plus. The lawn is also maintained in spring and summer so that is good. Other than that, little to no on-site maintenance. Tenants report any issues, they are treated rudely and then afraid to say anything. Many end up fixing many things on their own. It can take weeks for maintenance to address issues. Snow removal not good so plan on doing a lot of shoveling. Storage units across the road are cleared and plowed out(different owner) sometimes as much as a day or two, before townhouse units are, so you a sitting duck and trapped unless have a four-wheel drive. Parking is tight, which makes it challenging to even shovel between vehicles for snow removal. I was told it was a nice quiet area w/ professionals and not much turnover in units. Not true, been a rotation of tenants in and out in short periods of time. Police have been at townhouses multiple times at different hours since I have been here, which is quite unsettling. I was told tenants had to have background checks so who knows. I guess it depends on what you are looking for in an apartment. I for one do not recommend. I found it was worth more to move elsewhere so I could have peace of mind and not have to worry about interior/exterior maintenance issues. Good luck with your apartment search!
