The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Elmwood Court
We moved in almost two months ago and it has been so peaceful and quiet. We are living in a freshly updated unit and it is absolutely perfect. I’d recommend this complex to everyone if I could
I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I will be taking precious reviews into consideration now. This apartment was not at all worth what I was paying. Luxury prices for absolutely nothing. No amenities, no landscaping or designated parking spots. The rent increases $100-200 each renewal for the same crappy appliances, terrible lighting in an old, funky smelling building. I did not feel safe here as there were a few instances where someone would ring my buzzer strange hours of the day and night. I spoke with the office a few times, asked if we can install a ring or video intercom for safety and they finally put a peephole on my apt door which was no help at all. They will withhold your security deposit for normal wear and tear(off white carpet) and not say anything until you reach out to them multiple times. Be careful not to settle on this place like I did. It’ll cost you more in the end

I just moved into Elmwood Court this month and so far it has been a great experience. The office staff was really friendly and accommodating during the entire process. The apartment is very clean and spacious. There are several large closets as well as storage. I am really happy with Elmwood Court and would recommend it to anyone looking for a one or two bedroom apartment.
I have lived here for 7 months now and it is horrible. Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong. on the 2 coldest days of the year I had no heat because it was broken and just the other day my apt. was 90+ degrees due to it being broken again. There is also an issue with office staff and maintenance just walking into my appartment all the time when I'm not home or sleeping. I don't blame this on maintenance because I have told the office that I don't want people in my apt. when I am not home but they always say "okay i will make a note of it" and never do. One day when I needed a painter to come fix my wall because the apartment above me was leaking he just walked right in and money was missing from my apt. The other maintenance staff is amazing and does not match the rest of the issues I've come across in this apt. Another huge issue I have is that my kitchen looks like a train wreck. When I first moved in they said that they were working on replacing a few cabinets WHICH THEY HAVE YET TO DO now 7 months in. I think 2 or 3 cabinets have cracked linoleum and its peeling, the counter has spots on it where it is peeling, the cabinet and drawers aren't even the same colors, and the cabinets are almost falling off the hinges. I also can never have my living room or kitchen windows open because there is a creepy neighbor that sits by his window with a beer and a cigarette staring into my window. If I had the opportunity to do it over again I would have never chosen this apt. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY LIVING IN A DUMP LIKE THIS PLACE!!!!!!
Great place for a dog. Trail behind the complex to walk your dog. Nice stream and land to walk on. Not to big of a complex. Surrounded by a neighborhood community. Close enough to get to surrounding Rochester areas quickly.
I've lived here a few months and it's great. Large one bedroom with a massive walk in closet. Wall mounted air conditioner means I don't have to sweat this summer. I love the complex. Its very quiet and well maintained. Out of all the places I looked at this is by far the best!
Elmwood court is a decent apartment community for a graduate student. They are very diligent about keeping up with maintenance, snow plowing, landscaping.... however, they lack some amenities that are necessary for me like an in-unit washer and dryer which is why I have chosen to lrent elsewhere. Also, I'm not sure if this was every apartment but I found there to be an over abundance of white spiders in my place. I can't stand spiders. The staff is pretty friendly though and there is plenty of closet space and storage in these apartments.
Can hear our upstairs neighbor all hours of the night/day stomping around and arguing with people (have complained numerous times) Otherwise, the building is quiet and can't hear other neighbors. Parking lot is very dark at night unless you park close to an entrance. Small apartment but it does include cable, heat and hot water for what it's worth.
We went to Elmwood Court for a showing. After Sarah did a great job selling the idea of living there to us, we went to the office and the other two women automatically assumed we were some young kids just starting out college, they basically told us there was no reason to even try to get an apartment because we don't currently work near by, we wouldn't get an apartment. They were over presumptuous and judged us off of our looks. Not happy with those women. They ruined a great tour and chased us off. Definitely not even going to try to live there now. They were rude and snappy, assuming we were a certain way based off of our young looks. Is our money not as good just because we don't work in Rochester? It was just a weird experience...
I've never had a problem with the management here, lived here for almost a year and I'd love to stay if I can't find another place with in unit laundry. That's really the only reason I'd consider leaving. Maintenance guys are really respectable and respond quickly to all of my calls, the storage unit in the basement is roomy, and they just replaced all of their washers and dryers with brand new machines. Plus you can't beat the location!!! It's literally in the middle of everything! I'm having a hard time finding apartments with a comparable location. Only drawbacks are that it is an older complex, so there is sagging floors in certain places, the vents are really noisy, and if your neighbor has their heat way up, your apartment will feel it. There's also some noise transfer from neighbors, so I'm hoping to snag a second floor apt to reduce that!
My husband and I called for information on these apartments and the girl that answered refused to give any information unless I provided my name. We were interested in these apartments until then. I wanted to just find out what was included if anything in the rent. We will find another apartment where the people who work there are more professional.
