Property Ratings at Elliot Cocoplum
Reported so many maintenance requests to the team since I moved here in July, all of a sudden, all my maintenance request history is now removed from the portal... that' s pretty shady stuff... Moving on.... The last maintenance request took the team over a month to address. after several complaints, I was told the service manager or community manager would reach out to me in an email that came from the team on 11/29. No one has reached out.... at all.... very nice.... Also since then we have had a shooting situation here at the complex. I think it may be best if we start discussing how to let me out of my lease and I can be moved out of here within 30 days as it is obvious I' m not valued at all as a resident.
I want to praise the staff at Elliot Cocoplum. I really want to say that they are professional and polite, despite their being shorthanded. I want to say that I feel as if the amenities are always easily accessible, and that I feel this location is a value. I really want to say all that. But I can't. The management has made it a mission to improve the appearance of the location but the systems for addressing the concerns of the residents are a terrible veneer of useless events and professional sounding emails. As a resident, I can say that they can't mask how understaffed and overworked they are. The new management is more concerned with that coat of paint than addressing the concerns of the residents in a timely manner. Is it a good value? No. Can you get in contact of a human being if you need them? Only if you take time out of your work day and visit the office before they close. Do I feel as if the people in the office care? Well, I think they *want* to, but they surely can't. The experience has been beyond disappointing. Please avoid Elliot Cocoplum. There are better places out there.
Front office, management and maintenance are Fantastic. We love living here
The management was already poor when we moved in in 2020. Has only gotten worse. Rent has been astronomically raised. They have hired a company to harass residents in parking. Towed my vehicle 3 times and my vehicle is listed on the lease. Not resident friendly AT ALL. And the new management is very unprofessional and callous! Would never recommend anyone move here
The girls at management are rude and the maintenance take too long to fix something, i don't recommend this place. They are increasing my rent $400 the bathroom shower door is terrible in all units, they show u an spectacular remodelate apartment but is not too close to the reality
Do yourself a favor and DO NOT waste your money in this horrible place. This is the worst property management I’ve ever lived in. We have been here for 5 months and can’t wait to move out. My house is infested with bugs, I’ve had numerous water leaks, property damage in our car because their lack of care, mold since the day we moved in. And no, the problem can’t be solved since management people are unprofessional and seem like they didn’t even finish school, bad outspoken people, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL people. We have the statement of about 4 of our neighbors and they agree with us
They raise rents beyond what you can afford, poor maintenance upkeep, potholes, smoke smell and the noise! Management only wants to collect money and not support the good tenants.
this place was horrible after showing our family one unit, we got the lease for that unit. they tell us the day of our move that the unit we were supposed to move into was not available, so with a fully loaded u-haul they put us in a unit that had NOT been cleaned or touched up. I so noted all the issues including the smelly worn carpets, on the move in punch list. the issues were NEVER addressed. needless to say we did not renew. upon leaving I also noted that none of the issues on the move in punch list were addressed. now 2 years later they tried to put us in collections. I only wish I could give negative stars. ADVICE STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE !!!!!!!!!!!
Advenir at Cocoplum does a great job at looking good but that's about it. From day one the management team has been unreliable and has left us on our own since we moved in. When the pandemic hit they laid off the majority of their staff which lead to me having a leak in my bathroom for over a month. If you think you'll never have to call maintenance you're wrong and if you do they rarely help. Don't be fooled by their model units we didn't even get the same washer or dryer, now mine is broken as I write this.
Why is this property poor? Simply because they charge you an arm and a leg to live here and you can’t even get the necessities such as a shower door or rod. They paint over EVERYTHING!! I literally sat on my car and watched them paint an apartment so new people could move in. They don’t care about anything unless it’s moving people in, once you move in you’re on your own. The office staff? SUCK everybody in there is incompetent. Maintenance? For get about it...nothing will get fixed, the only thing they do is race the golf carts to see who can get to the clubhouse faster from wherever they hide all day.
Between the front office and maintenance there is a complete disconnect. As I type this I have been on hold for the past 15 minutes for a formal complaint. Had issue with the toilet leaking..I was told a maintenance person would stop by to take a look the next day. Well with a couple of follow up calls a person stopped by but didn't have the material or replacement part to make the repairs. Completely non responsive with dealing with most request.
The worst customer service stay away just a bunch of liars.
The apartments are spacious. The staff is always helpful. I would recommend this apartment complex to others. The apartment is neat and nice amenities. This is a quiet and a friendly community, very accessible to shopping malls, postal mailings, groceries stores and all other convenience stores .
Let's start with the first problem: Our door to the bathroom would not close and we asked multiple times for them to fix it to no avail. They NEVER did. The tile was cracked and I ripped my foot open and after complaining they FINALLY fixed it with a mismatched tile-oh boy. There was a dead lizard and dog hair everywhere upon move in. But the best part, was having flying ants come in through the light. After it rained. There was an infestation of flying ants in our apartment and they still didnt care! Our air conditioner leaked and then when we finally moved out they charged us a carpet replacement fee from their gross negligence from things we told them to fix! DO NOT MOVE HERE.
