The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Elkins Park Gardens
Moved out to Elkins Park Gardens and I have to say, the complex is great. We rent a two bedroom and there is PLENTY of space for 3 people. The complex is well maintained and clean. When we moved in, our apartment was spotless. There is a ton of storage space and the office is always helpful if we need something. The surrounding community is very calm and laid back. The complex is also within walking distance to a a market + bar, coffee shop, ice cream shop + more. High school park is a favorite too. There are only two small drawbacks- the laundry is in the basement with no on-site quarter machine, and also our bathroom does not have any ventilation. We were getting a little mold but now we just open the window after showering. It’s not a huge deal although a little strange and potentially a health risk if we left as is. Overall, this place is the best complex I’ve lived in. If you are considering it I’d recommend it fully.
The apartment complex is well-maintained and the maintenance worker, John, is one of the nicest and helpful people. He will come and fix anything that you need. The only downside is that there are washers/dryers in the basement, so you have to walk outside of the apartment to get to the laundry. Besides that it is a great apartment.
