Sitting directly north of Old Town San Diego State Historic Park and adjacent to SeaWorld San Diego, Clairemont is a large neighborhood with much to offer. It is directly east of La Jolla and Pacific Beach, so residents are minutes away from some of San Diego’s best beaches. The neighborhood is home to San Diego Mesa College and the University of California San Diego is only about four miles north, making Clairemont a great option for students.
Clairemont offers some terrific parks, including Tecolote Canyon Natural Park. This vast park covers 903 acres and is a terrific hiking destination. Other great destinations include Marian Bear Memorial Park and nearby Fiesta Island Park. Shopping is plentiful in Clairemont, with the Clairemont Town Square Mall and Genesee Plaza offering a variety of shops and restaurants. Residents enjoy short commutes (under 30 minutes) to San Diego, making Clairemont a favorite location for commuters.

Property Ratings at Elivia Apartments
Please save your money and headache with a different apartment complex. Had termites issue during my one year tenant. There is a lot of noise due to a busy street but it's worse because there is no security overseering the loud noises from neighbors even though they said they would have 24 hour surveillance. In addition, it is very easy for strangers to come and open the window to unlock the door. There was one incident where a homeless person went upstairs and slept the night on the end of the apartments. I would not even bother reviewing this apartment but after not being able to get my security deposit back and charging me on top of the deposit for bogus reasons, I had enough of them using petty ways to gain money. Do no bother with the pre-inspection appointment to avoid getting charged on any damages. They will not give you any results. Thus, they will ignore you and not give you an explanation.

I moved in May of 2016. Within a few days I started seeing cockroaches everywhere which I've never had in my life. Management had Terminix spray and they said they would die and be gone for at least a couple months. I started seeing dead and dying cockroaches everywhere the next day which I grossly had to pick up with paper towels and throw away. Less than a week later they were back. The office had Terminix spray again and they promised they would be gone for good, same thing within 5 days they were back. Now 7 months later they have to spray every week and I am constantly picking up dead cockroaches.... Laundry machines are often broken..... Now that we are in December I see that the apartments actually don't have heat and its an igloo in my place at night... I tried to get out of the lease and they refused to let me out.... I think the property manager was incompetent and slow to reply before now we just got a new property manager and she is even worse. I can not wait for May of 2017 so I can get out of here!

I live here now and can't leave because of my lease but there are cockroaches everywhere. Do not live here! It is horrible they are everywhere.

I'm sorry that you are having an issue with roaches. We do offer a pest control service to help eliminate this issue. Please contact the office to set up a time for pest control to come by so we can get this problem resolved for you.
We've been living here for about five months now. It is a great place to live. The staff is super courteous, even with just general morning greetings. It was very easy to apply and move in, we moved from Florida and had to communicate via email and phone, the process couldn't have been made any smoother. The apartment itself is very spacious for a studio with a building plan that makes sense, making it very cozy. The outside aesthetic is nicely painted, and each building has a very unique gathering area (one pool area, one grilling area, and one nice fountain / Adirondack chair gathering area). I love the Orange and Grey building colors, and plants that habitat the ground floor. The staff is great! Any issues that did pop up were resolved quickly and easily, and any upgrades made were well notified. It's close to my, now favorite, Ramen (!!!) restaurant (literally across the street), and a bunch of other great markets and restaurants down the street. Can't say enough nice things about the place, did I mention the staff was awesome?

First, I'll say the staff is excellent. Very friendly and responsive to tenant needs. Michell was very helpful throughout the entire process and the move in was quick and simple. The remodel is what sold me. Nice hardwood floors, cabinetry and paint. Windows seem to be brand new and the blinds are also very clean. Appliances are super clean and work as expected. The interior will not disappoint. Mailbox and parking are in a convenient location. The exterior is freshly painted and adds some color to the surrounding neighborhood. I also like that the staff has even more improvements planned. Pool renovation, community grills, re-striping the parking lot, new washer dryers, and more. Surprisingly there's also a lot of stuff in walking distance including a grocery store, gas station, dry cleaners, and your choice of walk-able nearby restaurants are sushi, ramen, Thai, Chinese, Korean BBQ, Indian, and an awesome taco shop. In my opinion there are no cons to this place, but worth noting the below for future potential tenants: - The community is right on Clairemont Mesa Blvd. So if you're sensitive to street noise it's worth thinking about. I've noticed traffic dies down by 10PM and is almost non-existent by midnight - Studios are decently sized, but the door/window locations force you to get creative with the floor plan
