The homes are Income Restricted and applicants are required to take home-ownership classes and do basic home maintenance in preparation for owning a home in the future. Each month, $50 from rent will be saved in an escrow account and will be available for the tenant if they choose to purchase a home immediately after tenancy at the Des Moines Greystones. I have sent numerous emails to perennial properties to see if it was possible to tour them and not one person has responded to my emails. I would really hate to be living here and see how they respond to a maintenance emergency. It's obvious they don't want tenants.
