The Smith Ranch neighborhood lies five miles north of downtown San Rafael on Highway 101 and a 45-minute drive from San Francisco. Many of the rental apartments in the area sit within complexes that provide a range of on-site amenities.
Independent stores in the area include Warm Things for home bedding and Northgate Florist for customized floral arrangements and bouquets. Property Ratings at Deer Valley
I would never return to this place they rented me an apartment full of insects I kept the photos I asked them to return my money and they would compensate me with my moving expenses, terrible treatment of the manager never solved me and I only returned very little of everything that I I paid them and they gave me an apartment infested with insects
Nice units, good layout, grounds are well-maintained. In-suite laundry really convenient. Assigned parking, but if you need extra it can be hard to find a spot sometimes. Kitchen could use an upgrade - cabinets and counter-tops are showing their age. I'd still say it's pricey for what you get, though, and rent has increased significantly each year for the past 3 years.
